Hey, I'm here in May 2020 having only just picked up the base game plus the two expansions (What Lies Ahead and Killer Within) in a bargain deal. One of the things that swung my impulse purchase was your video so thank you! I haven't even opened my boxes yet so I don't know if I'll have everything inside that you have here, we'll see. But I just wanted to say a big thank you for making this video. :-)
Sure thing Paul! Thanks for going back and watching some of the older vids. I am well over 1000 game play videos at this point....way over... and I am appreciative of people going back to watch, comment, correct rules, and have fun with them.
I think you misplayed the event on the first turn.I haven't watched further yet, but you only do the neglect on the card you discard and only look at the top part of the card you choose as your approach. In this case whichever card you chose to neglect as your first event would've caused a stress to both of your survivors. Range 1 counts diagonals btw, although the neglect effect here would've been the "discard food or get 1 stress" This makes the choice a lot more interesting, since you have to think of both cards and their color more. I just played through this scenario this morning and it was pretty fun, but I did win it rather easily which has me kind of worried, since the game seems too easy so far. (Sure, I've only played this and the basic scavening run so far)
Line of sight also says that the walls of the building your are in do not count as you could be on top of that building. So Morgan could have killed that walker from range 1 in his second turn.
Hey Doug, long time man. I just received my copy today after backing this and I’m super excited. Huge fan. I’m glad you have started this and I’m looking forward to it. Would love to get involved in another one of your games also. Keep on keeping on bro
The first search Rick did you inverted Coordinate and Interact, so you rolled 3 dice instead of 1. This really shows why they should have put the names of the characteristics AND the symbols on the survivor cards. Or use only one or the either throughout the game.
In his first fight, Morgan would have to roll 2 black dice. One for the stress token, one because there is a walker in his space. After spending the material, he would still need to roll one black die.
When you moved Rick back to the search deck in the building at the top right it was totally unnecessary from what I remember and as long as you are in the building it doesn't matter what room you're in. I'm almost 100% positive.
Awesome😃.I have been wanting to see this for awhile thank you for the video😎

Very cool Doug! Keep up the great work! Very interested in this game.

You have to do the neglect effect of the card you did NOT choose as the plan for the round.
You succeeded the first event, when Morgan defeated a walker, he could have gained the trust, it doesn’t say it needs to be another survivor.
Also says "May", not "Must".. but Morgan could have been the survivor to get the benefit.

Oh btw, you forgot to place the walker at C4 (the search card building) just above Morgan during the set up of the map.
The first search Rick did you inverted Coordinate and Interact, so you rolled 3 dice instead of 1.

I Totally agree. So annoying. Fight is easy, but coordinate/interact are just too close to eachother and we always had to double-check.
In his first fight, Morgan would have to roll 2 black dice. One for the stress token, one because there is a walker in his space. After spending the material, he would still need to roll one black die.
Correct, it would have beeen better to first do the action and then the maneuver as he could defeat the walker in a range of 1
Ah cool i'll be watching that tommorow so i can learn the rules :D
How did Rick defeat the walker in the top building? He only knocked him down with the exert he did. So how did he attack him again?
The knock down effect was the the basic effect of the card that always happens. He then used the success to defeat the knocked down walker.
Doug Herring Lol. Thanks Doug. I finally realized what the deal is with Actions. I'm still learning too. :)
„A survivor within range 2“ is not the same as another survivor. It could have been Morgan himself.
(First event)
Great intro
