Romania is located in eastern central Europe. It doesn’t have the latitude of Southeastern europe such as Albania Greece or even Bulgaria those countries would be classified as Balkan or dinaric.
@@WorldandMaps If we are speaking geographically Romania is Carpathian in in eastern central Europe. Culturally Romania is Carpathian. Eastern central european. Not southern. Politically Romania and Hungary are in multiple Southern European groups. Romania is the mother of the Carpathians afer Slovakia. Obviously it has the the latitude of Hungary and Slovakia not the Balkans. Also Moldova and north western Ukraine are Romanian but broken apart by the ussr. You have a lot of Carpathian folk music coming out of Romania with the food and clothing etc. linguistically Romanian does sound latin and is mainly latin with few original Dacian words.
@user-ek9jd1wc1c Yeah it has (had) so many different influences which makes Romania a very interesting country. Geographically it is often referred to as Southeastern Europe, which is why we put it in the video. Of course it is a but of an oversimplification.
You are wrong. România is genetically Balkan, culturally Balkan (in Oltenia, Banat and Muntenia) and geographically Maramureș, Bucovina and Transylvania are central European, Muntenia and Oltenia are south east European/ south Carpathian and Moldavia is eastern European.

I guess there is no clear answer to that and a lot of factors - geography, culture, economy etc - could be taken into account.
