if you want challenging parking, please try delivering to hotels in Greece. the company for the hotels is called Artemia. Remember that at the same place it can ask you to park in different places, for example i did 2 deliveries to Artemia in Argostoli and first one was easy parking but second time was pretty hard. Love your ETS2 content !
I have a nearly identical 6+R shifter and I found it really helpful to upgrade the gearbox to one that either matches or has double the gears that the shifter has (i.e. 6 or 12). That way you're never skipping gears or always skipping one, making accelerating smoother.
That makes sense, yes. I don't mind the varied arrangements yet, but I can see how that might be helpful to have a perfect match. I bet matching our double will help with making the shifting more second nature. Like now, switching to ETS2, I have to remember a completely different shifting diagram. It's not hard, but it's brain cells devoted to one more thing.
Greece is next level, I've had more wrecks than in both ATS and ETS2 before Greece combined. You are killing it however...lol. That backup wasn't bad at all, you just needed the trailer in the lines and it was, cab doesn't matter because it's not staying anyway. Going to set my phone alarm now for your next live stream so I might actually make it this time.
Yeah, Greece isn't messing around, I love the challenge! And thanks on the parking, I feel like I could have gotten that in one shot if I had lined it up better, but there's always a few adjustment parkings when I've been driving ATS for a while. That'd be awesome to see you on the 11th! I hope the pup is doing well too. :)
There is a mod that you can get from the steam workshop that changes the time zone in the game based on what time of the year it is. My default there is only 1 time zone in the entire game which is the summer time zone. With the mod you get both the time zones.
I think there is a way to do manual gears without a shifter in the game. I wonder whether you can use this mode to get the driving academy achievement?
I think the achievement mentions that, actually. And I think you're right, that you can enable sequential shifting with a key setting, if I'm not mistaken. There might not be a clutch mode for it, unless you have pedals and a clutch? Not sure on all of this though...
Thanks! This is a great reminder, much appreciated. I think I might try the Iveco first though, as I think I'll drive the Iveco for a short time, then almost immediately shift into the new Volvo. :)
Hey Zilla Blitz, great videos, I reached out to you on Patreon and sent you a few messages, one also with a link to Amazon with a shifter that looks just like the ones that are in real semi trucks. Let me know what you think?
1. Ryzen 9 9900X 12 cores 24 threads 2. Nvidia RTX 4090 3. MSI B650M Motherboard 4. CORSHAIR 64GB RAM 6800MHZ 5. ASUS TUF GAMING 850W PSU 6. Lian Li Lancool 7. 256GB SSD 8. 1TB SSD I will build this my self and ordering all this will cost $4000
Really enjoying the Greek trip, the roads on the island are even narrower especially once you get up into the hills. Great fun.
Yeah, I'm a bit nervous about doing this live, these roads are no joke. :)

Oh, thanks! We'll have to try some hotels, good idea. :)
Back to Greece and with the shifter for all those narrow roads, loving this.
It's definitely a challenging area, really enjoying it and the shifter is making me feel like a newb. :)

I use that mod and cant live without it.
Squirrel does Manual Shifting. He has a SKRS Shifter
If you are doing manual shifting get the SKRS Shifter and the Moza TSW Wheel
I'm enjoying riding your truck sir, keep it up!
Hey zilla. If you listen to the sound of engine... You should be able to shift without the clutch
Hmmm. Interesting, what should I be listening for?
@ZillaBlitzPC the rpms
For when they are really high or when they stop?
@ZillaBlitzPC for when they get high. But not too high.
Okay, I'll try it, thanks. :)

Why did you get 8TB SSD?
zilla you mentioned you wanted a new truck i would recomend the volvo fh6 aero it can have up to 780 hp and it is overall a really good investment.

1. Realesed few weeks back with 2 other trucks at the same time
2. 780 HP with 8x4
3. Very morden and advanced.
