I was there. He rocked the whole house. We were all Casiopea fans, but never expected things like that. That made us crazy. All of us gone nuts that day.
It's an 8 string bass made by Tune. You can find them online, they have a website, but the basses themselves are very difficult to find in the USA. The 8 strings are paired, to give a full, almost chorus-like effect, like a 12 string guitar. Tune is a great japanese bass company. If you get a chance to play one you should. They use great woods, have fantastic electronics, and are really playabel, especially if you like a fast, skinny funk neck. They make great basses.
Wow!!! I thought Tetsuo was sick!!! and hes playing on a 8 string. I'm just gonna stick to playing chop sticks (Drums) If him and Victor Wooten ever cross paths....that woould be great!!!
i think that you don't know all his performances to say that. he is a master bass player, with kind of love for funk and rock music ; but he is also a pastorius fan's (like ever jazz bass player?)
Crazy! and from a Japanese bass player taking da funk to it! when you're the Best you put your heart & soul into it-theres no half way....Naruse lives it. TOTALLY INSANE!!! I LUV IT!!!!
i have a whammy bar.. les claypool has a whammy bar, mark king, just to name a few, all bassists that do what ever they want to do. how many people dont even know the difference between a bass and guitar, to lead the band with a bass, just proves the skill and passion to do something different..
You know , its fun how people react when they hear a new cool bass player , they always say something like "he is copying someone like Jaco or Mark King" .
yea, you must really be old.. there's nothing wrong with prancing around being pround of his skill, and bassists like him are what makes people realise that bass isnt just hiding at the back helping the music.. look at les claypool, similar, proud of what they do,
i'm 22 and i'm statin what i like. if you have a problem wit that, too bad. he's def. more of a lead guitarist, what bassist has a whammy bar?? i'm not denyin his skill, but i'd rather see him playin n backin up someone else. it's harder to keep rhythm, speed it up, slow it down, add fills, etc. all to other people than it is to just sittin in a studio imitatin an entire band.
Hey Claus, can you do what this guy is doing? No? If you can't say something nice then shut the hell up. This is an amazing performance with AWESOME audience response and participation. When you can get an audience that size, that whipped up, then you can be a legitimate critic
Yes. That is a 8-string bass guitar that was made by TUNE.And It may be his unexpected and stupendous ability to practice and pro-workmanship. Originally he liked the rock music, so it made the atmosphere enthusiasm at the stage in 2001.
I was being sarcastic. I don't even play guitar. I was making a campy comment about how apathetic the general public reacts to bass solos. It obviously went over your head.
fuck, listen to that audience! they're nuts for him... vic wooten doesn't get that kinda response! (dont get me wrong i love wooten!) Narucho is my hero...
although i respect and love flea he is in no way the "granddaddy of funk." You wanna check out the real masters? Louis johnson and Larry Graham were both slapping and popping while FLEA was in diapers. However, flea still rocks!
Why does he have to have "inhuman" or "Godly" skill in order to recieve a compliment? The dude is better than any of you, I'm sure. I'm a bassist and have been for years now, and he's better than me, by far. You people are overly critical... = /
This guy is good, but the real god of bass is Flea. Hes the Granddaddy of funk. He was slapping and popping our pants of when this guys was still wearing diapers.
Lol what the hell are you even saying, Naruse is far more older than Flea and He was already slapping the bass on his 20s when flea was basically a kid
it's cool to expand your horizons, cuz every musician will go thru that stage in their lives, but bassists shouldn't forget the bassics of jammin. bass n drums are the rhythm section while whomever else adds it wit flair. i'm not sayin bassists should know their place and not experiment, but bassists should DEF. not forget to be the core of the band. w/o bass or drums, there's not much of a band
nice vid, i dug it more when he actually played lines instead of muting his percussive hits. but call me an old school bassist, im not crazy about too many effects. he's a great showman and player, but hes deep into that lead guitarist trip prancin on the stage like a proud peacock.
Legendary?... God?... I'm not so convinced. Perhaps he's just really good? He can sure engage that Korean audience though... He makes it look fun! Kudos!!!
dont know but I think asian players are not as good as european bass and guitar players, but I dont know it, its just something I notice by seeing some asian and european bands...
it's cool to be proud of your skills, but a bassist's job is to provide the groove. you're SUPPOSED to stay in the background. bassists are unsung heroes. if you crave the attention pick up an electric guitar wit a shorter neck.
I was there. He rocked the whole house. We were all Casiopea fans, but never expected things like that. That made us crazy. All of us gone nuts that day.

One man show and very fun person i really enjoy his performance!
The roughest sound made by Yoshihiro Naruse: 2:15
Look at his face.
He is smiling all the video.
He like that
He like to play
Righteous! Great playing "chopper bass" indeed!
요즘 시대의 4k영상화질과 고음질로 못 담아낸 것이 너무 아쉬운 영상...
he is a beast bass player
he has a sick talent and is showing it to people...hes not being unhumble...if thats a word
전설 ㅇ ㅇ
세월이 벌써 이렇게 흘렀네요.
당시 4:3 TV로 본방사수 했었는데.
Wow!!!
I thought Tetsuo was sick!!! and hes playing on a 8 string.

Ohh, and I have played an 8-string unpaired, the neck was HUGE!!!
넘사벽이란 이분을보고 이야기하면됨
Crazy! and from a Japanese bass player taking da funk to it!
when you're the Best you put your heart & soul into it-theres no half way....Naruse lives it.
TOTALLY INSANE!!! I LUV IT!!!!
2020/2/6
Very nice !! Well Done!!Hey.. I hear a bit Mark King!! but realy the best?
CASIOPEA!
i have a whammy bar.. les claypool has a whammy bar, mark king, just to name a few, all bassists that do what ever they want to do. how many people dont even know the difference between a bass and guitar, to lead the band with a bass, just proves the skill and passion to do something different..
You know , its fun how people react when they hear a new cool bass player , they always say something like "he is copying someone like Jaco or Mark King" .
If your saying he's bad. Prove it that you can do it like that.
미친....
how come i have never heard of him till now
dude , this shorty really has it going on!!
Why r u guys hating like that, he's no V.W.,BUT HE GOT HIS OWN FLAVOR WHICH IS GOOD! You don't to be into somethings to respect it!
yea, you must really be old.. there's nothing wrong with prancing around being pround of his skill, and bassists like him are what makes people realise that bass isnt just hiding at the back helping the music.. look at les claypool, similar, proud of what they do,
소름이 돋네
u gotta admit he rocks that funny bass
Sweet Jesus.
kahler is the best company for bass tremelo's.. i got one. their great
i'm 22 and i'm statin what i like. if you have a problem wit that, too bad. he's def. more of a lead guitarist, what bassist has a whammy bar?? i'm not denyin his skill, but i'd rather see him playin n backin up someone else. it's harder to keep rhythm, speed it up, slow it down, add fills, etc. all to other people than it is to just sittin in a studio imitatin an entire band.
waw....
He totally doesnt think he is the best.
Yoshihiro has a very professional attitude.
The opening 15 odd seconds he uses harmonics in a very Jaco esque way, in my opinion. Not that harmonics are only Jaco, but I seriously heard Haco
2024
What a fuckin' great solo! (^_^) Bass rulez!
Hey Claus, can you do what this guy is doing?
No?
If you can't say something nice then shut the hell up.
This is an amazing performance with AWESOME audience response and participation.
When you can get an audience that size, that whipped up, then you can be a legitimate critic
Mark King is my slapping god. But this guy made impossible - he squeezed the emotions out of Asians.
Hes like Japans answer to Les Claypool. Is that an 8 string bass he has there? What make of bass is that anyway?
Yes. That is a 8-string bass guitar that was made by TUNE.And It may be his unexpected and stupendous ability to practice and pro-workmanship. Originally he liked the rock music, so it made the atmosphere enthusiasm at the stage in 2001.
Why would he want to be a guitarist when he has a perfectly good bass? ;)
reminds me of a japanese mark king ^^
is it only me staying up far too long or is this guy playing a 8 string..man this is sick!
10x :D
nope, he was doing this shit a year or 2 before king
o my - this sh*t sounds sssslicck
That's because in the end, everyone are ;-)
Unless they're doing something unique and/or new like say Matt Garrison..
hell yeah ... who ever gave a sh*t about guitar solos? :D
sydney, nsw, AUSTRALIA..
I was being sarcastic. I don't even play guitar. I was making a campy comment about how apathetic the general public reacts to bass solos. It obviously went over your head.
A japanese smiling? It must be some Karaoke festival
each to their own.. dont like him, dont listen to it.. easy
what is this bass????
wats his bass??
attitude has nothing to do with playing ability friend, if you've got it you may as well show it off
You really gotta respect the Japanese these days. They accomplish everything.
is that an 8-string? why am i seeing only 4? and why is the neck too thin?
I prefer Wooten... regardless, this guy is extraordinarily talented.
He is an absolute geezer. What a guy
fuck, listen to that audience! they're nuts for him... vic wooten doesn't get that kinda response! (dont get me wrong i love wooten!)
Narucho is my hero...
Its korean public😂
I agree. Technically he's fucking amazing, but then he just alternates between trying to sound like Jaco and Mark King
thats debatable...
and did you even listen to the whole thing?
what kind of bass is that?
although i respect and love flea he is in no way the "granddaddy of funk." You wanna check out the real masters? Louis johnson and Larry Graham were both slapping and popping while FLEA was in diapers. However, flea still rocks!
Why does he have to have "inhuman" or "Godly" skill in order to recieve a compliment? The dude is better than any of you, I'm sure. I'm a bassist and have been for years now, and he's better than me, by far. You people are overly critical... = /
WHo is it? O_o
why no reply.. scared??
This guy is good, but the real god of bass is Flea. Hes the Granddaddy of funk. He was slapping and popping our pants of when this guys was still wearing diapers.
Lol what the hell are you even saying, Naruse is far more older than Flea and He was already slapping the bass on his 20s when flea was basically a kid
i wanna se duel victor wooten
just my opinion but I think this guy puts Vic Wooten to shame.
ㅋㅋ 한국말 쓰잇는거 웃경
lol
christ, those crowd noises must be edited in. no crowd would ever go that crazy for a bass solo, let alone a 'slap' solo.
Funny Asian Guy ^^
it is mostly rhythm with some notes dotted in, its not for me.
it's cool to expand your horizons, cuz every musician will go thru that stage in their lives, but bassists shouldn't forget the bassics of jammin. bass n drums are the rhythm section while whomever else adds it wit flair. i'm not sayin bassists should know their place and not experiment, but bassists should DEF. not forget to be the core of the band. w/o bass or drums, there's not much of a band
i did it myself
dude u really must not have anything to do.. just lookin for my comments on making trouble.. bimyo~
nice vid, i dug it more when he actually played lines instead of muting his percussive hits. but call me an old school bassist, im not crazy about too many effects. he's a great showman and player, but hes deep into that lead guitarist trip prancin on the stage like a proud peacock.
Legendary?... God?... I'm not so convinced. Perhaps he's just really good? He can sure engage that Korean audience though... He makes it look fun! Kudos!!!
Korean? They're japanese
I think this guy is confused. He doesnt know if he's a bassist or a lead guitarist. Haha
Ok, I was entertained, but he kinda lost me at the end...
hahaha, how mature
then ur completely jealous
My bad, he looks way younger. I take it back.
IMO Flea is still better though... :)
dont know but I think asian players are not as good as european bass and guitar players, but I dont know it, its just something I notice by seeing some asian and european bands...
It's the opposite indeed
Flea is still king
Lol no flea is a beginner compared to this guy. He can't even do a little tapping compared to Narucho
/sry mean west countries not european
Slapping on an 8 string.
Uagh...
Wooten Owns this guy... Narucho uses way too many effects ... dont get me wrong hes fuckin good but wooten is far better...
cool but i prefer vic wooten or marcus miller..;p
it's cool to be proud of your skills, but a bassist's job is to provide the groove. you're SUPPOSED to stay in the background. bassists are unsung heroes. if you crave the attention pick up an electric guitar wit a shorter neck.
i hope you’ve changed your mind in 13 years cus this is the most retarded thing ive read
Not an interesting video. Probably a sucky concert.
boring!
that's not even musical!
