I have seen lately some pottersthat use plaster bats and secure it with a baking sheet. Seems to me that plaster bates are not much preferred but as I have all the items to make my own cheap plaster bates, I will try not to construct a "flying saucer "...crossed fingers. Thanks for the video!
I hadn't really thought to just use water to secure the plaster- I'm making a keyed bat system. Also, a nice way to get them off is to use a paint can opener. I got mine thriift.

a spackling spade will get it off without damage
