I’ve never left TH-cam commentary before, but you provided the motivation. As a team, you and your videographer should be the prime example of a diy video for TH-cam. You provide an excellent blend of close-ups and overview shots, never skimping on difficult angles. And you are an excellent teacher/presenter, providing a wealth of useful information without a lot of mind-numbing blather to fill the silences. The shots are just long enough for your commentary and just enough footage for examples without subjecting the viewer to (in some cases) hours of real-time repetitive work. I find even time-lapse video to be tedious in long term projects such as yours. And finally, you broke the project into easily-digestible individual videos that have been meticulously edited. I was able to watch the entire series through before beginning my project, and yet found myself unable to fast-forward through any part of it, as every extraneous shot or comment has been edited out. Not only are you top-notch at your profession, but you should be the standard for excellence in the unregulated field of TH-cam video. Thank you!

Wow... your first commentary certainly has left me stalled out with how to best respond.Very well written words that sincerely and deeply touch me. As a team, I am my own videographer, the one behind the camera. I set up the various shots in differing angles. Then I work together with my son-in-law, Brandon in editing the film. He's the one that "marries" the shots together in making it look like there are two cameras in place. Meticulous work on his part in synchronizing arm and hand movements in transitioning from one of my shots to the next. He also has tricks in mixing soundtracks together. You wouldn't be seeing our channel without his professional technical abilities. I often tell him it's Buckminster-Hylton Productions. As for this chair, it is the finest overall piece of work in my over fifty years experience doing antique repair and restoration. My heartfelt thanks for your highly complimentary words! Thank you!

Really interesting video of yours, every bit in intricate details, and shown in different segments all the way to the last stitch. I used to work at a clothing factory sewing 🧵 blue jeans, and took some upholstery in Jr.College.And noting that you don’t wear wrist guards,Amazing work put into every area covered. This is King Craftsmanship truly deserve a spa day hand soothing manicure, and therapeutic joint message to keep the hands in tip top shape for the grueling workout on these projects!😁👏👏✅🏆

Wow. Amazing work. I recently took a beginner upholstery class and have been watching some folks here on TH-cam. Absolutely different and amazing to see traditional methods and materials being used. The hand sewing alone is amazing. Certainly, we didn’t do anything like this in a beginning class as we were encouraged to pick simple items and they had to be approved. It was hard even with a simple chair. Respect to you and your craft. You are an artist in my mind.

@Stuart Stokell - See, those are my thoughts. I just finished this series (I'm studying up for making a couch), and nothing seemed undoable. I mean sure, practice and experience are required, certainly.
But nothing seemed superhuman. Looking at the end product though, I thought to myself: There's no way I'm ever making anything that fancy.
So while I recognize the work of a master and all... the thing I'm most impressed with, is the man's patience and attention to detail. It's more than I can ever muster (so I'll be sure to keep my couch simple). Cheers. 🍻
@Buckminster - Much respect sir, for the patience of a saint. And also, much sincere gratitude for sharing. 🍻

OUTSTANDING WORKMANSHIP! I have several similar projects that I have been considering tackling myself but I am not sure that the pride I would feel in doing the job myself would outweigh the finished look of a complete amateur. I may have to bite the bullet and get it done by a professional. Since I am not in your area, any tips on finding a good professional? Is it rude to ask for references or to look at work they are working on?
