  • The Auction of Elmer's Auto and Toy Museum was fascinating to watch. We thought others would be interested in seeing what parts of this collection of a life time sold for. Over 100 Rare, low mileage, original, classic, muscle and vintage cars, over 150 motorcycles,
hundreds of bicycles, over 700 pedal cars, and other items went across the auction block September 14-17, 2022.
If you would like to hear from his son and and his friend the stories behind this amazing collection we have two other videos highlighting the cars, and other vehicles.

I just met and talked with the guy that bought the '62 Oldsmobile Starfire over the weekend. The car is absolutely beautiful and he had it out for a ride. WOW!!!!

That is so cool! We always thought it would be a neat video to trace down where the cars went. The Dahl auto museum bought the aquacar. When we were there a year ago they didn't have it ready for display.

Some of those numbers on the pedalcars are crazy. My family does pedal cars and that dozer was absolutely crazy. We had one we just that was in 95% or better all original and sold for less than 1/2 that. That's an auction you never know what people are going to pay. I loom at it this way if you have the money and you will enjoy it, then it's just money.

Auction fever. We were surprised too. With so many for sale I guess it brought in some major collectors. We have a second video that features a lot more pedal cars if you are interested

$242k on a non runner clearly exposed to decades of humidity (check the mecum pictures for a peek under the hood of the vehicles and mold on some interiors) is beyond logic. A numbers matching turn key car brings about $125k these days. And the $70k C3 does have 5 miles on it, still ridiculous but that explains where some brains may have lost sight of reality. Great video guys loved it

And the pinto lol $8800! Haha Your $800 bid was on the money in my book. I wonder if there was some shill bidding or some other foolishness going on here. Some were priced right if not maybe a little cheap but most were suspiciously high

Elmer had two Mopar Winged cars. A Plymouth Super Bird and a Dodge Charger Daytona. One of them he had raced on a local dirt track and the other he bought just to add to his collection. I don't remember which was which. They never made the auction, so maybe one of the kids kept them or they were sold prior to the auction. I know he had a lot of kids and some of them to over the parts business from Elmer.

We are under the impression that they will be sold in a separate auction - but have not seen a date for that. We did film that barn and it is in our second video called "Elmer's auto & toy Museum tour 2022 | Largest pedal car collection". It is in the second half of the video. That collection was massive!
