    My 2023 CBx is a really enjoyable bike. I’ve got the black bike, with a dark tint Honda windscreen, which looks good and works well, maybe a little too well - I live in the tropics and the WRS windscreen is likely a bit better for ventilation and cooler in these hot climates. I’ve always found if a windscreen can keep most of the wind off your chest, it’s done the most important 80% of its job. And a good breeze over the helmet/face is essential in high temp/humidity conditions.

    Hey WRjockey, I was at my local dealership yesterday looking for a CB500X. I think that bike is a great fit for the kind of rides I want to do. They didn't have one. When I got home I was looking at YT videos on the CB500x and came across yours. You mentioned you were at an airshow that day. I looked closer and realized I rode by that very same airshow on that day on my Honda Shadow 750. We crossed paths on our bikes that day. - Bill

    Weird that I'm getting use to the factory wind screen? Smoke is a good color and looks good. Yeah it's got the passing power, I just wish it had an A/C unit on the bike for 105 F. You have made a good choice with the CB500X, keep both wheels connected to the asphalt. Blessings

      Weird - probably not. I would say that's good if the factory screen works for you. Regardless of the performance of the screen, I prefer a smaller, sport-type windscreen as far as looks go. Yeah, I'm shallow like that. ;) An A/C unit for the bike - now THAT would be weird! haha I've found that a helmet with vents in it helps with the heat. (as long as you're moving, of course!)

      @@rob-fb5xs I-35 and 635 at 4:30pm in stop and go traffic and it's 104 degrees fahrenheit and the pavement is radiating 135 F, call me a wimp but I choose A/C. What is fun about cooking on the freeway? I love riding but sometimes A/C, just saying. Blessings

    Really interested in this windscreen. Would have been wonderful to see the road view from the helmet chin mount than the chest view

      Well I guess you'll just have to imagine a viewpoint that's 7 inches higher than what you have... The horror. The horror..

    Clean look. Gives it a more dakar rally look

    The stock windscreen is fine for me in terms of buffeting and protection but the wind noise is the problem I have.
    I’d guess the smaller screen reduces the noise a lot.
    The 500x is the first bike I’ve owned with a screen so not sure if the noise is common with all.

      I don't know. This is my 2nd bike with a wind screen but I don't recall a noise problem with my other bike. I didn't notice a wind noise problem with this one either. At least nothing worse than usual when riding at 60+mph.

      @@WRjockey a whole lot will depend on both the helmet and the choice of earplugs. I just ordered a set of “Earpeace“ plugs after watching reviews… 20 bucks. I have a modular helmet that I just got, a Scorpion AT960, SO THAT’S NOT GONNA HELP MUCH WITH THE WIND NOISE

    If I may ask, how tall are you? I have stock windscreen with a dorky extender on it, because at stock settings the wind hit me straight in the face. Trying to decide between the windscreen you got and the 530mm tall one.
    Keep up the good work! As a newer rider with the same bike this content has been very helpful.

      5'10". As I said the sport windscreen works well for me and my needs, but if you'll be doing a lot of highway riding you'll probably want something that offers a bit more protection.

    Does it stop the awful wind noise you get from the original screen

  • @MarkKoolen
    @MarkKoolen ปีที่แล้ว

    How is the wind buffeting on the highway with this screen? The original gives me a lot of buffeting on my helmet with a lot of noise. Now I ride without like a naked but that look is not so great.

    • @WRjockey
      @WRjockey  ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't ride on the highway much, but the few times I have with this WRS Sport screen, I've not noticed any buffeting at all. It provides only minimal protection, but it looks great.

      @@WRjockey Thnx for your reaction. Protection does not bother me so that's good to know :)
