Besides the usual mistakes, it starts with the opponents last drive of the 1st. half. Illinois can’t stop anybody’s 2 minute offense.

Well it certainly wasn't a defensive struggle but as an NU grad I'll take it. Couple of very costly ints by Bryant nearly lost it. (Or better said the inability of the D to stop giving up points nearly lost it).
What was the final score? They never showed the end.
45-43 Northwestern. The 2 point try by Illinois to tie it failed at the end just like their previous attempt.

Nope. lost didn't make a bowl game after a 8 win season and those 2 back to back turnovers killed us, how can you say this was one of the better games??

So, when the Illini finally "came close" at the end, they needed 2 points from a PAT just to get a chance in overtime...

Illinois football has not been relevant in years. Lovie had done well recruiting.. You have to give people time to build a program... this has been a rebuilding year

PATHETIC editing, they don't show the two point attempt at the very end of the game that could have tied the score. What do they get paid for saving seconds. Absolutely terrible not to show this to save maybe ten seconds.

I agree illinois choked a few games this year (it hurts) but we lost 5 NFL players? next year is going to be a 7 win season fosho.
Illinois will never be good at football, but the Illinois band is top-notch , to be honest I can't believe they won any games this year this is a bad team
Don't you wish we could see the band perform at half-time again? Too much half-time hot-air by analysts and TV ads gobbling up all the air. Wish for the good ol' days...missing the bands...
The Marching Illini are amazing. I got to meet some of their alumni back in October at homecoming weekend. Bring back the Chief!
