Actually this house was built in 1891 by Lambert and Mason and the architect was Isaac D Reynolds. Most city records say 1899, like 90% of all Brooklyn brownstones and that is false. Someone back in the 60s just entered 1899 for all old homes in Brooklyn.
Yes, thankfully she’s using her privilege for good, donating 15% of her brand’s profit to the Black Art Futures fund. She has admitted to benefiting from an industry which skews mostly white, and is implementing change in her brand as well as reaching out to black design students. She’s a really cool lady, and I’m glad to see her supporting BLM! (This is in no way me being malicious toward you, I just wanted to show her acknowledgment of the facts you stated)
I appreciate the fun-ness and I like a bit of color but this is too far for me personally. It looks like it was designed for 2-6 yr olds as a preschool kindergarten or after school play club type thing. 😐
