Ya I’ve only used mine once and I was thinking it would last a long time especially since I don’t keep it in the shower with me, i put it on a rack to the side while I’m not using it. But I love the smell so much!
These Dr. Squatch brand soaps are great. I've been using different scented ones for a year, but I personally like the Fresh Cool Aloe scent and I love how it makes my skin feel smooth and refreshed after a shower. Only thing I don't like is the scent doesn't remain on your skin for longer than five minutes, and the soap bars generally don't last for more than four or five showers so you'd see yourself ordering a bundle of them or getting their "soap-scription", which they send two or three soap bars of your choice per month.
Personally, as someone with Eczema, this brand of soap is kind of like a breath of fresh air. For the past couple of months, I've been using the same fragrance free soaps from Aveeno in order to wash my body and it made it feel like a drag for me to shower. Not being able to have alcohol or artificial fragrances (also called fragrance parfum) made it really hard to find good soaps that actually smelled nice. I didn't come out feeling proud of how I smelled. I just thought that I didn't stink anymore, but I didn't smell great, you know? With Dr. Squatch, it's alot nicer on my skin than common soap brands (still not Aveeno, though). I definitely agree that this soap is very expensive and doesn't last long, but for me, it's a nice release from mundane soaps that I'm limited to due to my condition without having to forfeit not having red and itchy skin for the rest of the day.
Often times the soap fragrance doesn’t stay because soap is a wash off product. If you get a soap with a strong fragrance that stays on your skin then it may end up being harsh too. The pine tar I make is fragrance free, meaning I don’t add a “fragrance” but the smell is actually the pine tar smell itself used in the soap.
Got the pine tar soap for Christmas. The bar itself smells great but after shower I do not smell the scent on me. Have to lather with hands and not soap bar to skin because the surface is rough and tough corners. Worst part the wet soap drips black all over the shower... messy. I like the cool packaging and natural ingredients.
These soaps are really good! I recommend them. I’m pretty sure that they aren’t in a partnership with the soap guy just because their pine tar smells and looks the same. Even if they are, I really like them. I would say make a big purchase so you get free shipping from their website like the hair care and bars
I like Soap Commander and Mitchell's Wool Fat better. Chiseled Face is also pretty good. All of them are priced way better and none of them have spammed me with obnoxious youtube ads like Squatch does.
I liked these soaps but the cost for how short of lifespan of the soap isnt worth it. They also changed scents and how some of the soaps are made. At 7$ a pop, I would expect a larger bar. There are other brands out there that do natural soaps for alot less. Even pinetar ones that match the old scent of their pine tar that now smells like pine sol.
This man said "10 dollars just isn't worth it to me, you can get the same quality at t.j max." Proceeds to ask for samples from the company 😂😂 Sounds like you need to review some t.j max stuff my guy
I was excited for my bars because of the company’s claims. Turned out to be lies. My Dr. Squatch soaps smelled like Motel 6 soap. I’ll give them one more shot in case it was a fluke. But they hardly had any of the scent they claimed to be whatsoever. Severely disappointed.

If you can give me a couple days I’ll get back to you. FYI: The bars I had gotten were actually a gift from a friend who had some extra boxes so he gave me two. Solid soap, but it was the scent that I was interested in. Maybe the scent loss was an effect of being stored away. I’ll keep you posted!
@ZillaDivine I think I lost some of the scent in the one my buddy gifted me because he had it for a while. But tbh the one I bought wasn’t a huge difference. Noticeably more scent but not what I was hoping for. I’m probably expecting too much scent though for being used to other soaps for so long.
Interesting that sodium hydroxide wasn’t listed on the ingredients, in Canada that’d get you in big trouble with health authorities. It’s not soap if lye wasn’t used in the process. I can make this soap for 2$ a bar in cost of ingredients. But yeah, pay 9$ if that floats your boat lol Ok, just looked it up, they use the out of the pot term “saponified” meaning lye was used, sorry dr. squatch
It's not about the smell for me, it's about the natural ingredients that don't destroy my skin. I use this to get a nice clean wash then I use just a touch of my expensive body wash for a good smell. Not too much but just enough. This stuff is great at cleaning, at least in my case, and I come out smelling amazing.
@@tinaadvm6436 somehow they increased or decreased the amount of an ingredient to make it last longer in smell , also made the bar a little bit bigger to save time range in soap use.
I’ve used this soap and many other ones and honestly not worth the $7+ a bar, it only last like 15-20 days a bar. If you can get it with subscription and a good discount on the main site and then go for it but never buy these for 7+ dollars it’s a rip off
I used my bar for around 2-3 weeks and I still have it, I wash all of my body too it’s not like I barely use it.

You are using a full bar of soap every 4 to 5 showers that is absolutely insane! You gotta be the cleanest human walking this earth.

Its heavy grit, its suppose to be rough, and you have to lather up really well, get extra soapy and the smell should be stronger

It’s really good, smells great, only thing is it stains your tub black.
There's other scents that don't stain, you should check out the other ones.

That dark soap (pine tar) will wash your Grey out too. But, it turns your hair dark. Researched.
