Myanmar protesters rally as Thailand slams military crackdown

  • Activists in Myanmar have burned copies of a military-framed constitution in protest against Senior General Min Aung Hlaing’s power grab, as neighbouring Thailand expressed “grave” concern over the security forces’ escalating crackdown on anti-coup protesters.
People again took to the streets of cities across Myanmar on Thursday, defying a security force clampdown that has killed at least 535 people since February 1 when the military deposed Aung San Suu Kyi’s elected government.
The demonstrations came as fighting intensified between Myanmar’s military and ethnic rebel groups in the country’s border areas - a development that a United Nations special envoy said increased the “possibility of civil war at an unprecedented scale”.
The DVB news outlet reported that 20 soldiers were killed and four military trucks destroyed in clashes with the Kachin Independence Army (KIA), one of Myanmar’s most powerful rebel groups. The fighting in the far north comes days after Myanmar military aircraft began bombing positions of another group, the Karen National Union (KNU) in the country’s east.
The clashes in the east have sent thousands of people fleeing to the Thai border.
    Al Jazeera's Scott Heidler reports.

The problem is coup and civil war. What happen if new group deleted coup group and start to control like coup group. It will become civilians unrest, unresolved and endless war. The entire country will ruin. This is what happen when you choose incompetent leader like aung san suu kyi. She didn't learn how to kill ceasar like rome did and she ignore the treat and let military take control the country. She had blood people on her hands. She is monster too. The fighting between the Burmese Military and the Ethnic groups with in Burma have been a on going secret war for the past 70+ years now. Of course the United Nation and world power all know of this war for the past 70 years now, but no one want to intervene. But if Burma was a country of rich oil resources of course many power country would of had intervene long ago.
Burma is a country of many Ethnic people. Some still live in the tribal system which groups are rule by a chief that are in charge. Most of these tribes see the land as a free land by GOD that no one owns and don't see the Burmese Military as their leader govern system that over rule their own tribal rule system.
Some of these Ethnic groups are huge in number population that they literally have state name for themselves.
The Burmese people are on the top of the food chain and why the country was once call Burma.
Ethnic Discrimination is a issue in Burma as for the past 70+ years and the Burmese Military goal is to wipe out the other Ethnic groups and have a clean Burmese blood DNA country only. But some of these Ethnic groups in the past have been able to fight off the Burmese Military and force Burma to a peace deal. But these so call peace deal always break later down the years and restarted war. Is to the point that many of these Ethnic groups would no longer agree to peace with the Burmese Government anymore and would rather fight to the bitter end.
But recently in the past decade Democracy started to emerge in Burma and begin to take power from the Burmese Military control. The country Burma was rename Myanmar to represent all Ethnicities with in Myanmar Democracy. But as democracy push to take power the Burmese military push back. The Ethnic groups within Myanmar wants ether equal democracy power as the Burmese or if not carve up the map for their own independent by military force if necessary.

In Myanmar, we are witnessing both the worst and the best of humanity - evil being done to feed greed, to strike fear and subjugate, and immense courage, solidarity and will to be free unlike we've seen before
Here on the comments section, we are also seeing good and evil - those who want an end to the violence, victory and freedom of the people of Myanmar, and those who rejoice or keep mumbling karma for what happened to the Rohingya as if it will solve anything and realizes not they only perpetuate hate. They do not even know the other side of the story that the Rohingya were also at fault. They believed only what the media fed them but did not look deeper to understand what led to such inhuman acts. Official reports show many sides are in fact at fault including the Rohingya, their ARSA, not just the Tatmadaw and Myanmar government. And they think only the Rohingya suffered when the Burmese has been suffering from repression and atrocities under military rule, especially the ethnic groups, since the 1960s, or earlier. The Burmese were colonized and subjugated for 124 years by Imperial Britain, British India administrating Burma, and the Bengalis they brought with them from India and East Pakistan (Bangladesh), later referred to as Rohingya, who came to loyally served and benefit from them from 1824 to 1948. Imperial Britainleft them there without fulfilling their promise of an autonomous islamic state.

@@teedooderungeetoo901 As a citizen of Myanmar, let me explain between CCP, Junta and ethnic armed groups. CCP helps Myanmar Junta in drug trafficking at the cross-border of Myanmar and China. That's why Juntas are not scared of sanctions because they still get black money from those trafficking and exchange with weapons. To tell about civil wars , CCP is now helping a group called 'Wa' army. Which is like an intermediate army of China and Myanmar Junta. China doesn't send troops obviously but 'Wa' is their puppet army. Now, Wa army fight together with Junta by using airstrikes. Ethnic armed groups are fighting both Wa army and Junta. Our ethnic armies don't have military vehicles nor war planes. They are poor but fight for civilians and children. Wa army can speak Chinese. China CCP will support Junta behind Wa army. I hope you get it. So, U.S and UN can't prove whether China is behind the scenes. That's why we want U.S and other leaders to support armed forces or weapons behind ethnic armies.

@newton min My spamming of the history violence and genocides for the past 70+ years in Burma/Myanmar. Is for those that don't know of the violence and mass genocides that's been happening for the past 70+ years. I'm spamming because as a Ethnic Hmong myself with Generations of family that went through the same suffering situation in another country call Laos of Enthic Genocide. Seeing that so many people don't know of the real Situation in Myanmar nor Laos of the full history of it for 70+ years of genocides that was ignore by the world for 70+years hurts me. From all these comment that ether ask of it or comment of it but not knowing the full history back ground of it. I'm here to explain the history of the issue that's been boiling for the past 70+ years that lead up to this point. As a Ethnic myself I feel as if is my duty of being across the other side of the world now watching my people being kill on television hurts. As a Ethnic myself I'm such a coward to go fight. As my family before me fought their way out so i could have the better life I have today. It feels like a duty to myself and my Ethnic people to speak out and teach of the history to those who want to know or those who think they know of the real story behind this 70+ years of Ethnic Cleansing Genocide that the U.N for the past 70+ years had turn blind eyes.
This is my reason behind my spamming. And if you still don't know nor understand the reason behind my spamming then I really don't know what to tell you.

Nope, they’ll probably get killed if they do. The thing is they’re so manipulated by their military that they think the act against the rohingiyas was justifiable.🤦‍♂️ this also happen to other ethnic groups in Burma. They occupied in their land and forces them to move out of their homes and when the ethnic group choose to fight back they call us rebels and terrorists that’s what their citizens has been believing for decades. The thing is I don’t think other ethnic groups was surprised by what happened to the rohingiyas nor what’s happening to the Burmese civilians. We knew how evil they were.
