  • Hey guys,
    So I get a lot of questions on instagram about disney and the audition process, what to bring when you're moving out there, the training, what it's like to work there etc... So I thought I would make a video series about it all and go through in detail about the whole process, all the way from even finding the auditions all the way to your first two weeks there, what a day looks like as a disney performer and even a video dedicated to talking about the perks of being a cast member!
    So I hope everyone who has questions finds this series helpful and if you do still have questions I am more then happy to answer them over on instagram (@ChelbieX) or in the comments (providing your question keeps the magic!).
    So grab a cup of tea, sit back, and enjoy the series! (:
    Thank you for watching!

    This is so cool!! Its also nice to hear that you auditioned a few times before you got it. I'm sure it was miserable for you but its reassuring for anyone else out there who is on this same journey! Did you have to have any basic French language knowledge to be hired at DLP?

      Yeah, I thought it was nice to share that so people watching don’t give up after one audition! Cause as Walt Disney said, “if you can dream it, you can do it!” And that quote is the reason I kept going back! I only knew basic French they teach you in school but it’s not necessary, you have to be fluent in either French or English so it was ok! I did try to learn some while I was over there though!😊

    Hey Chelsea, thanks for sharing all these tips. I wanted to ask if we need to bring our printed cv/portfolio and a headshot picture to the audition?
    Also, what’s the age range you’ve noticed in auditions and at DLP? Thanks :)

      Hello, sorry I didn't see this sooner! Not sure if you've been to an audition by now but I'll answer this anyway just in case!
      We used to have to bring them before covid, but if it doesn't say it on the website when you look on the Disney auditions page, then I don't think you do. They ask you to make a profile on the Disney auditions website before the auditions now so I think they do that instead of paper ones so it's all online, but if you're not sure, there's no harm in taking one just in case!
      And the age range can vary a lot! Tbh it's mostly 18-22 year olds fresh out of college, but there are quite a few who are older. Probably don't see too many people over 30 but there are still a few as you can still work there at any age, as long as you can act! (:

    Thanks for sharing all of this! I know you mentioned the specific look for makeup and nails, but does the full "disney look" apply to performers? I wonder about hair for example if it's going to be covered up by a wig/costume. Not that I'm getting any ideas about auditioning lol, just curious!

      Hey! It doesn’t matter for the audition about your hair colour, however if I you do work there for a while you will get acc trained (where you look after the characters) and they do like you to have a natural hair colour for this, but if you’re only there for a short contract you won’t need to worry 😊

    Heyy I love your videos! I have always wanted to work at Disney and when you mentioned about heights I was wondering if my height would stop me completely I’m 5”1 and I’m worried I wouldn’t get to hang out with any princesses or if hanging out with tinker bell is an option x

    • @ChelseaAddams
      @ChelseaAddams  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey! So I’m not sure exactly about the height requirements, normally to hang out with princesses the heights are around 160-170cm but there are sometimes exceptions. I do know however that people who hang out with Tinkerbell, Wendy and Alice are normally no taller then 162/163cm that so you might be able to be friends with them, I am not 100% sure on their heights but I do think you are around the right height! For your height though there are loads of fur characters (like Mickey, Donald, stitch etc...) that you will be able to hang out with!

    Heyy! I love this series!! Does anyone know if there is a audition located in Amsterdam?

    • @ChelseaAddams
      @ChelseaAddams  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey! Thank you, I'm glad you liked it!! And I am pretty sure they do auditions in Amsterdam sometimes but they are less regular than in other places. Just keep checking disneyauditions.com and hopefully one will come up soon! (:

    Do you think it would be ok if I weared a jogging for the audition, it is a bit loose and comfortable for performing if a lot of movement is included

    • @ChelseaAddams
      @ChelseaAddams  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey, you might be ok to wear jogging bottoms, but maybe take some shorts or leggings in case as I think I remember they like if you wear form fitting clothing but I can’t remember for sure ☺️
