I was so excited to see the buds on the shrubs. Seeing the rebirth each Spring is hopeful and grounding. I hope that you were filled with peace and satisfaction. Great job! 😊🌱
It’s that feeling at your core that you know with 100% certainty that nature will deliver and yet somehow you feel equally relieved and reassured when she does. All is well 🥰
Ahh garden looks lovely and tidy now, spring ready.
Thank you 🙏 it’s getting there! We joke that for a ‘low maintenance’ garden (which was our goal) there always seems like plenty to do! 🤣
i'd never thought to cut back evergreen ferns before! good to know they survive such cut-backs.
I can’t be sure it would be the same everywhere but mine just produce a whole new lush batch of fronds every year! It seems to keep their size in check too. Maybe try it on one that’s not front and centre and that you wouldn’t be gutted to lose 🤦♀️
This is getting me in the mood for Spring. A bit too soon here in ILLINOIS but I can at least start making my outdoor to-do list for spring.
I’m very familiar with the IL weather! We have family in Naperville and when we visited last May we had snow! The week previous to our visit it had been in the 70’s 🙄🤣🤣 Happy spring planning 🌼🌹😊
My husband’s sixtieth is in April, so I will be eagerly following your progress with the event!😅
Hopefully you’ll get a few ideas!
