Thanks a lot for your feedback! Actually did not listen so much to Summoning lately - but I was a huge admirer of the past days' work! 😍❤ Their epic style surely influenced me since I startet doing Dark Ambient/Fantasy Synth stuff now more than 20 years ago. 🙈

Odd Warlock - "He who kept the hallowed Flame" 🔥 About the album concept: You may think that this is an album based on old christian beliefs, judging by its cover artwork, which shows the Old Testament depiction of what an angel is believed to look like, according to the books. The album (conceptually as well as musically) of course kept the ethereal and sacred character that Odd Warlock had from the beginning, but battle drums and trumpets instantly show where this took inspiration from: Tales of conquerors and warfare in the ancient times and the forefathers worshipping their pagan gods and idols - with gigantomanic temples made of gold and marble, sacrifice, oracles and augury - to reach a higher state of super-human strength and divinity. The movie samples therefore were taken from the historical epics "Alexander the Great" and "Julius Caesar". The angel shown is an intimidating, a threatening one, heralding the greatness of the high ones before whom you shall tremble... and guarding with force the utmost sacred that's not to be conquered by any mortal hand. Hope you will enjoy a 50 minute lasting journey into a world of old time wonders once again.
