- I knew I didn't need that 1st strike on the arms dealer!
So at 3-star, instead of going for the artillery strike, I do 3 things:
1. Carpet bomber on the final palace. This softens it up for later.
2. Cluster mines to protect the north flank from random GLA units. Helps block against the tunnel in the final attack as well.
3. Airdrop 5 minigunners to take a building on the north front. In theory I could just walk a troop crawler up the hill, but I don't really have anything else for that 3rd point so I might as well. Saves money too.
Then I slow-walk my helix and a bunch of dragons into the lower base while macro-ing up for my final attack with infantry and infernos. The hard part for me here is managing both without losing too many things to stupid stuff. The terror tech does not forgive over-extension.
After reaching 5-star, I immediately throw down full arty on the (softened) palace for a quick kill, and (more importantly) EMP as many base defenses as I can. From there it's a matter of closing your eyes and just throwing everything at them.
The command center takes some time to burn down, and Black Lotus in theory can make this faster if she doesn't get killed by a random stinger or your own dragon tanks in the process. It doesn't help that my primary solution for everything involves fire, which means she can't just dive past the stingers and start capping WHILE I'm in the midst of burning them down. I may need to experiment and figure out what works. For all I know, something more mobile like an outpost/crawler spam could work better.
