I have been documenting my HVAC rebuild over on RL. Just about ready to reinstall the inside unit and plenum. Replaced all of the seals, cleaned everything out, etc. You guys are great and looking forward to the rebuild.

I was lucky to get a NOS sekurit front windshield glass with the embedded antenna wire on eBay several years ago for $500. Sits in my home office waiting for the day to be installed. Seller claimed it was one of the last ones in inventory in US. You should check with sekurit in Europe as you might still be able to get one. Nice tool chest, you can never have enough tools and having a nice tool chest like that makes your work muck more enjoyable when your tools are organized and laid out rather than being crammed into drawers.

I'll be starting my search for that glass.
I had a tool box similar to the one we just got. However I had to sell it due to the guy I worked for previously. He had his own tool storage and wouldn't let me keep it there. There was plenty of room, but he wouldn't let me keep it.

Thank you for this video on the hvac removal. I can see for me this will require a lot of photo gray work to document the individual electrical connectors and the layout of the wiring harness along the upper dash and lower plenum panels, so that when I reassemble it I know exactly how it all goes back together.

I hope to be able to plot all of that out. This car has been through a lot and a lot of wire hold downs are missing. Harness appears to have been tossed in there where ever it would fit.

@@EuropeanAutoCraftStudios I use a digital camera with a macro telephoto lens to document the tear down. I have several hundred photographs of the engine compartment alone as I disassembled it due to the layout of the wiring, and coolant hoses and vacuum hoses among the engine components. I plan to do the same when I disassemble the dash and hvac system. Maybe I can share that information with you if I get to that portion of the disassembly before your reassembly.

It is a good customer of mine. I told him if he doesn't rush me, we could probably give him a good deal on the labor, I really wanted to document this for all of thr 944 enthusiasts out there. I hope this does some good for all of you.

Thanks for the video. I have been trouble shooting a problem with my 86 turbo AC cycling from cold to hot air during normal operation with the heater valve opening and closing for 2 years. With your help I can now see what's involved. If anyone watching this video could help, it would be great appreciated. Thanks
