Sebastian, I suggest you add engines from the Snowdon Mountain Railway. Give the train, now,
Fantastic! A few notes:
1) There's a bug with really long slopes that can be fixed with Config > damage > requireSolidBlocks = false
2) You can change the speed unit in the config to MPH
3) requireSolidBlocks makes it so you can put track on slabs, paths, etc...

I believe the breaking comes from the trains traveling into unloaded chunks so if you had a mod with chunkloaders that kept the chunks loaded at all times, merhaps that wouldn't be happening anymore?
Having a large preloaded map on a robust server would be the best thing you can do
@@megamiana-spaceforcecomman705 Well yea a preloaded, permaloaded map on a remote would be the best but in term of just getting it working in singleplayer I think chunk loaders would do the trick
If the devs of the mod now added a setting that let all locomotives go up every hill as if it was flat ground, you could remake the polar express route.
you could do that by changing the slope multiplier in the config
If you want to maximize speed without being too steep, you need the ramp to be as close to a brachistichron (i forget how to spell it) as possible.
I'm pretty sure that doesn't apply to Minecraft lol

@csx42 if the S-2 class was made by Lima Works and is the same class as the 765 and the Pere Marquette then you where right all along. FYI, the Pere Marquette is the locomotive that they used in filming the Polar Express movie.

1:11 Just turn off "Require Solid Blocks" in the configs
Now do this mod with immersive portals, see if you can get a train through a portal
what happens if you combine this with the immersive portals mod
Tip for your path block problems:
/setblock
Switch pathblocks to whatever you want.
The top loop is literally how a particle accelerator builds up speed.

The PRR T1 is pretty fast if you have it, some reports have it going 140 mph with some cars

Well, there is the thick boy I've made before that runs on uranium rods to generate steam, so reply if you want CSX42
How do you spawn in the trains fully steamed?
Turn required fuels off in the config by pressing “/“ in game

These trains can have effects? As poison, wither, jump boost, darkness, night vision, swiftness, etc

I once got like 200 km/h by a glitched cart that was zipping through the track and hit my train cart, causing like 200 km/h

What packs do you use for your trains? I don't have some that you have (I have the voxel trains thing enabled too)
I dont have the ability to mod or make mods till I get a computer but if I get the mod and a way to make a train I will make a train with max speed that the game can handle max speed rev so it goes up fast and max strength so it pushes the stopper no matter what and the weight to let it do anything so its perfectly customized to you and try my best I never made mods before but I love your vids and wouldn't mind doing this for you in the future

Here's a tip if you go in confed menu and go to graphics it allows you to switch from km/h to mph. Tip of the day done
Not sure how he got these mods to work because when I downloaded Forge and the mods my computer kept crashing!!!
i got a train going up to 1560 KPH
(how i did it was i took a train (amtrak train) and i added a 1 cart and i made a switch and when the train passed the swich i stopped it
and i fliped the swich and i made it go again and the cart broke wich pushed the train and got it going up to 1000+ kph)
next just send a long line train cars down a massive ramp that then goes up a bunch of small mini bumps maybe add in a zigzag part but instead of side to side it is up and down ( mini speed bumps )
