That is so helpful to hear your experiences. When I embarked on meditation years ago, and I would feel so peaceful coming out of a session.....and then the anger would spurt out when my husband and I would have an interaction that seemed to come out of nowhere! LOL, for so long I was so disappointed in myself, and then I came to think of him as one of my greatest teachers, and little by little over such a long time the spurts got a little smaller and farther in between..., the anger lessening in intensity. The desire to be serene, transcended, whatever you want to call it is so deep with the beginning of meditation, prayer and seeking Presence within and we want it immediately....and then the realization begins to dawn...it is in every step and is like the effect of water on jagged stones or shells...eventually they become so smooth.... Blessings upon you both, am so grateful you are teachers in my life.
