    About Dispatch:
Forget trying to slap a label on Dispatch. You're welcome to give it a shot, plenty of people have, calling them at times a heartfelt acoustic trio, a wailing rock band, a devil-may-care funk act, but the band defies epithets at every turn. When they hear a description of their music, they just grab the closest instrument and switch things up in an effort to keep the stereotype-slingers at bay. It's nothing personal, it's just that they find inventiveness more interesting than playing it safe and churning out the kind of neat little ditties that people listen to for a week and then forget.
    About OurVinyl TV:
OurVinyl TV films live performances with both emerging and established musicians. We’ve worked with artists such as St. Paul and The Broken Bones, Ed Sheeran, Allen Stone, Kina Grannis, Dispatch, Iration, Donavon Frankenreiter, Rebelution, Marcus Foster, and Odessa Rose. We do our best to push the production envelope by filming artists in unique settings that complement their music.
OurVinyl is live music. Being at a show is a really magical experience. It allows you to see bands and artists performing their music in its most raw form. It’s all live, all one take, no punching in, no autotune, no cheating. Just high energy and high authenticity.
    Lyrics:
    [Verse 1]
    We try to understand
The right to life like fire to the arson
You got it right at last, but then the world
Had a different plan and took it all away
    [Verse 2]
    Years and years you fought
To try to light your darkness with a reason
Maybe a woman someday, maybe even a child
To hold and help and start over again
    [Chorus]
And we run and we gun and we die young
And we curse and we crush and we hide
And we fight and we f#ck and we make up
And we love and we shove it aside
    [Verse 2]
    Years and years you fought
To try to light your darkness with a reason
Maybe a woman someday, maybe even a child
To hold and help and start over again
    [Chorus]
And we run and we gun and we die young
And we curse and we crush and we hide, hide
And we fight and we f#ck and we make up
And we love and we shove it aside, aside
    [Bridge]
Your eyes they shine, they shine from somewhere else
I’m going in and out, I gotta lie down
Never seen a light like that myself
    [Chorus]
And we run and we gun and we die young
And we curse and we crush and we hide, hide
And we fight and we f#ck and we make up
And we love and we shove it aside, aside
    [Bridge]
Your eyes they shine, they shine from somewhere else
I’m going in and out, I got to lie down
Never seen a light like that myself
Your eyes they shine, they shine from somewhere else
(I’m going in and out, I got to lie down)
I’m going in and out, I got to lie down
Never seen a light like that myself
    [Outro]
Your eyes they shine, they shine from somewhere else

I love DISPATCH, they caught me with "Bang Bang" and after listening to this grandious artwork about 100 times, I fell in love with every song I heard.

I was reading East of Eden by Steinbeck when this song/album came out. This track particularly fit well with the time/characters/mood of the novel. Incredible book and song (individually) , but pair really well together!

Can't get this song off of my mind. It even has a completely different meaning to me. But, is that not what great music is all about?

Same here the line "for years and years you fought to light your darkness with a reason" that line hits me like a fuckin truck cause I've been struggling in life since I was around 5-6 years old now I'm almost 22 still fighting everyday I was bullied horribly, got beat everyday on my way home from school to the point of bleeding and a few times sprains/broken bones, I got abused by my brother, abandoned by my birth mother, cheated on and used by every woman I tried to love and felt cast away from society in general because no matter how much I tried I just couldn't find where I fit in now at 22 me and my brother settled our differences and are closer than ever, my step mom has been in my life for roughly 11 years now and I consider her to be my mom in everyway except biologically, I dropped out of school and started working because I was just done with taking shit from the students and not being able to do anything cause I was over 18 and they weren't (didn't want to go to prison for punching some punk) and I found the live of my life on a dating app because I was trying to hookup with her and ended up falling madly in love with her ... We've been together for two years now but this song makes me see life as a challenge to beat instead of a enemy who will beat me down as my brother taught me at a young age when you get knocked down no matter how much it hurts you have to get up and look that obstacle in the eyes and say "you hit like a bitch" it may sound stupid but that lesson has gotten me through some rough shit and into some even rougher situations lol but at the end of the day I'm still standing and I will be until life finally takes me out but I'm gonna go down swinging
