I saw them loads of times and also on their last tour - gutted they ended. They were definitely the best band of their generation but didn't get as much coverage as bands like The Twang. This is my favourite of theirs and a song that others should really aspire to.
This kind of song defines a generation... the stone roses did it... this song is simply the best of their age - gutted beyond belief that they don't dominate modern music because they have the songs and talent... I love The Twang etc. but The Sunshine Underground were on another level... that's marketing for you!!!!!!!! will still listen forever though folks!!!!!!!!1
Seen them live, 3 maybe 4 times, never a massive venue, but always packed, and if I didn't leave soaked in beer at the end I would be disappointed. They should have had more success than they appeared to have. They even did a DJ set in a small basement bar in Leeds where I managed to ask him. When are you gonna do another album, to which he shrugged his shoulders and said " Dunno mate", But this album landed a good few years after, better late then never. This for me was the best track, The rest was a little disappointing for me but then, second albums always are, when the first was fucking amazing. I like that they kept it real though, at least they would never end up like Cold Play. if you liked them and saw them live your part of an exclusive club who appreciate how fucking spot on they were.
Reunion gig needed
this song is incredibly beautiful. unsurpassed. TSU, we miss you so much.

I too was sad to see them go .. "Nobody's comin to save you" was an awesome single but rarely played live.
Don’t know how but i randomly fell in love with everything about this song
