With 2.0 and phantom liberty finally out, cdpr stated they were done with content updates and ready for the sequel. That being said, i still hope this song is added to cyberpunk in someway. Either as a song on the radio or in an in-game mission, im still hopping they end up adding bullets. Here's my interpretation of the video: The girl who mysteriously appears is her darker half, representing her human ability to harm others and commit evil. With her, she brings the baggage that her Pure self forgot about. In the past, she did something which has tainted her conscious, hence the ink drops. Out of the bag comes a man writhing in pain, possibly a former lover whom she had injured. The texts that flash across his body may be emails, text messages or communications they had in which she was the guilty party and feels responsible for. After awakening to his suffering she is able to claim "personal responsibility" for what she did, and enters a mental state of clarity, leaving her baggage behind her. However, her darker self comes along with her, and she is still not free from that.

This is 2020, a few months before Cyberpunk 2077 releases. And I found this video, the theme song for the original teaser trailer. Thank you for existing. Awesome work.
I feel as if this song is about a soldier coming home. Touch me like an ordinary man refers to a soldier wanting him/herself to be thought of as normal despite being a trained killer. Underneath my skin there is a violence refers to the same thing. Ready to make sense of anything refers to being ready for any combat. Black holes refers to holes where personality used to be but was torn away by war. Razor wires refers to being strictly confined to a hard lifestyle. Blistering skies refers to skies filled with smoke and destruction. Bullets are the beauty of... Represents being in a world where your life depends on the bullets you have. Personal Responsibility refers to keeping sanity in a world of chaos and death. Give me feedback please. I'd like to know if this makes sense or not.
+Charles Eby that is a pretty good interprtation, but I dont think so, since nothing in the video clip reffers to war or soldiers, I once read somewere a interpretation for this music very interesting, it was something like this: The girl in red jacket is fleeing from something she done, the herself in a more animal way (using the hood) appears to her and show that she has ink like blood in her hands, wich could be like words she said that hurt some one, them the guy who get out from the bag is all tattoed with words and doing a dancing like he is in pain, so he is the guy who she hurted, them she accept the fact that she is an animal like the girl in hood was showing her so she goes away
+Charles Eby It's a good interpretation. My favorite one though is that this song is about the potential for violence that every human being possesses (underneath my skin there is a violence, with a gun in its hand), as well as the human fascination with violence (bullets are the beauty, and I don't know why). It also affirms that the only way to control it is through personal responsibility.
Bullets Come touch me like I'm an ordinary man Have a look in my eyes Underneath my skin there is violence It's got a gun in its hands Ready to make sense of Anyone, anything Black holes living in the side of your face Razor wire spinning around you Blistering sky Bullets are the beauty of the blistering sky Bullets are the beauty and I don't know why Personal responsibility Confine me, let me be the lesser of a beautiful man Without the blood on his hands Come and make me a martyr Come and break my feeling With your violence with the gun to my head Ready to take out anyone anywhere Black holes living in the side of your face Razor wire spinning around you Blistering sky Bullets are the beauty of the blistering sky Bullets are the beauty and I don't know why Personal responsibility
*Mass Effect Andromeda:* "Im only Human after all" *Fallout 76:* "Tell me lies, tell me sweet little lies" *Cyberpunk 2077:* "Personal Responsibility" The Holy Trinity of Disasters
There is a duality within all of us...a darker half. Under the exterior shell of the good person..there is a creature of pain and anger....All of us carry around the potential for hatred...anger...violence...No matter how kind a person is...we all have emotional baggage...We all carry this demon with us... Ready to burst free and consume us at a moments notice, without warning. We tell ourselves...we have a "personal responsibility" to silence these urges, this rage. We repeat that to ourselves subconsciously ovet and over again, in the hope we can overcome them
In my opinion Archive are the band who best represent the anxiety of the times we live in. The fact that they composed these more than 10 years ago demonstrates how big is their artistic talent. 2020, for all the people in the world the time of "personal responsibility" has begun abruptly.
the concept of "personal responsibility" is what a hyper-capitalist society like America is built on, and cyberpunk is that but taken to its absolute extremity. The fact that they are using it in the trailer and in the game is just amazing. It shows how well CDPR knows the soul of the genre. But it does have a more ominous vibe when you think about it.
Thank you for your performance last night at Tbilisi Open Air, it was such an amazing experience! Waves of emotions and memories with this one. I adore you and your art.
This song means so much to me...I have NO IDEA WHAT THIS SONG TRULY MEANS to me... It played a significant role in my addiction and criminality phase...it was intrigial in the warehouse burglary that ended that phase and was probably the only reason that I am still here listening in what's the last dying embers of 2024...I received a 15 year state sentence, reduced to 5 years if successful probation and cut from paper in 3...realizing that taking personal responsibility doesn't actually have shit to do with me being more than willing to claim my misdeeds or not having any fear of prosecution or care of the harm I caused to anyone who was unfortunate enough to enter my observable universe... but rather the effort and work that I'm constantly putting in on myself to try and understand my reasons for my behaviors and admitting that while...YES... I did a shit ton of evil crap to people, that doesn't make me an evil person...i can fix a few of them, that those behaviors can be understood and reprogrammed to what I choose to do to the world instead of what the world did to me? This song I believe is waiting there at the end and by then will probably mean something completely different once again...but will I ever understand it?; PROBABLY...not😂😂😂❤
I actually only heard this song for the first time from the Cyberpunk trailer and to be fair, it is appreciated because it is used in a trailer and the people who see that trailer are now appreciating it and it is opening them up to music they have maybe never heard before
@Soaring Wings Second Stage Did we really? if anything, we ignored the red flags at the time, for all we know, everything at the time was just as corrupt and disfunctional as it is now. We are more aware of what is going on than ever before, in terms of politics, gaming culture, etc. But I'm currently drunk while typing this shit, so don't mind me. I wish the gaming industry wasn't so fucked up.
This song is basically the only thing comforting me here in NZ after Christchurch with the nearly relentless questions running through my mind I have regarding the tragedy that just took place here. Contemplating the terrifying chaos and underlying evil we live in and not looking away from it at the same time is a lot to take in.
I'm 27 and have been waiting for 7 years like alot of you. Now it's less than 24 hours until release and my life couldnt be more different, but im still so fucking ready for the game !
currently own 3 cds by this band. their music is amazing and they use a multitude of different styles and sounds. They even rotate lead vocals on specific songs to garner a different vibe. You could have a pulse pounding song like BULLETS,,,or a deeply emotional and heartbreaking song like Collapse Collide the next..
These guys did a great job in putting bring your music to CD Project, is a strong publicity they get, hopefully put more of their music in Cyberpunk 2077

The investors suing CD Projek Red for lying to them about the state of the game they funded and the Polish government be like “Personal Responsibility” 😂
Yah, the game released as a complete disaster but it was patched into something that is actually quite special (if not extremely limited in the scope CDPR promised). And. DUDE, thank fucking god for Edgerunners! Not only did its popularity jumpstart CP2077 back from the dead, it exposed the world to Mike Pondsmith's Cyberpunk universe and, chooms, our adventures in Night City and beyond are only just beginning. Personally, i'd love to see a high production value live action OR trailer-quality CGI series that follows a different Night City inhabitant every season with the story of V being season 1.
netflix cgi sucks af IF there is a possibility for another story in nc they should stick to studio trigger. i hope cdpr learned their lesson from the fucked release in 2020, but let's see if they do it again with phantom liberty.
I have just now found this 14 years after it's release, and i've found a very dark meaning in this song. This song is someone's journey falling into their own insanity, losing their mind. The start, the quiet repeating of the words "anyone, anything, and "bullets are the beauty of the blistering sky" are this person struggling with murderous tendencies, they want to hold back, but its taking over, hence the song getting louder and more intense over the course of it's runtime. "Personal responsibility" is this person, trying to focus on their own responsibilities as a human, trying to take care of themselves, but their urges are getting stronger and stronger. The repeating of "anyone, anywhere" is more or less symbolizing that they will kill anyone at this point to satisfy their urges, but they're holding back. "Personal responsibility" with insanity in the background is them snapping, then the breakdown right after is them taking their first life. The chorus immediately after the breakdown, is them realizing what they've done but they can't stop anymore. Once this chorus ends, they fall even further into their urges, the only thing on their mind is "personal responsibility" now, but that has changed it's meaning, now it means to kill at all costs, almost as if it's part of taking care of themselves. Hence the repeating of "insanity". Then, at the end, the melancholic droning we hear is them after they've been killed, ending their descent into insanity. Basically, this song is, in my view, about a psychopath's descent into madness. (Edit. There is a lot more I wanted to add to this comment, but this is all I could fit.)
The Archive back catalogue is simply addictive. So many layers, so much emotions, so intens at times ... this is music as it should be. Not made for the charts but for the hearts.

Uwielbiam ten kawałek, uwielbiam...
Wow, I thought Cyberpunk 2077 was going to have great graphics, but this is unbelievable!
This...is...not Cyberpunk 2077...
+Christian Martinez woah there, buddy, that was a joke, flew right by ya!
+Christian Martinez Ikr, this is obviously Minesweeper, people are stupid
+ArdaBlock Nah brah, nah... this is pong...
Felix Wilson plus...I'm not your buddy....when we're we buddy's?
This song used to be exciting and badass. Now it's emotional... depressing.
Edit: We back.
yup. its a reminder of what could've been and what we got.
cyberpunk 2077 makes me want a cyberpunk RPG made by rockstar, even if they'd fill the online mode with microtransactions
Now its just nostolgic 😢
Is just sad. So much marketing, so much hype, so much expectations and the game wasn't what it could have been. As some people say: "You only can give a first impression once" and the game failed at that.
@@AlekeiCG Is that from the ANGRY JOE SHOW? Lol But yeah, it's really sad.
I really like the lyrics, Archive's lyrics are always amazing in my opinion
This is 2020, a few months before Cyberpunk 2077 releases. And I found this video, the theme song for the original teaser trailer. Thank you for existing. Awesome work.
It suddenly became funny how their teaser OST talks about personal responsibilities
Personal responsibility, personal responsibility, personal responsibility, personal responsibility
And the game is about taking down a corrupt company 🤣🤣🤣
Charles Eby I like the thought!
+Charles Eby nope i still see cyborg hottie getting shot at (even thoug the song isnt about it ):P
+Charles Eby that is a pretty good interprtation, but I dont think so, since nothing in the video clip reffers to war or soldiers, I once read somewere a interpretation for this music very interesting, it was something like this:
The girl in red jacket is fleeing from something she done, the herself in a more animal way (using the hood) appears to her and show that she has ink like blood in her hands, wich could be like words she said that hurt some one, them the guy who get out from the bag is all tattoed with words and doing a dancing like he is in pain, so he is the guy who she hurted, them she accept the fact that she is an animal like the girl in hood was showing her so she goes away
+Luciano Jordão I got it out as a hatred, and it pushing you over the edge.... but that might just be me
+Charles Eby It's a good interpretation. My favorite one though is that this song is about the potential for violence that every human being possesses (underneath my skin there is a violence, with a gun in its hand), as well as the human fascination with violence (bullets are the beauty, and I don't know why). It also affirms that the only way to control it is through personal responsibility.
Thanks, friends!👍❤
I have never listened to a song that is more soulthouching than Bullets. May Archive Rule The Word.
Bullets
Come touch me like I'm an ordinary man
Have a look in my eyes
Underneath my skin there is violence
It's got a gun in its hands
Ready to make sense of
Anyone, anything
Black holes living in the side of your face
Razor wire spinning around you
Blistering sky
Bullets are the beauty of the blistering sky
Bullets are the beauty and I don't know why
Personal responsibility
Confine me, let me be the lesser of a beautiful man
Without the blood on his hands
Come and make me a martyr
Come and break my feeling
With your violence with the gun to my head
Ready to take out anyone anywhere
Black holes living in the side of your face
Razor wire spinning around you
Blistering sky
Bullets are the beauty of the blistering sky
Bullets are the beauty and I don't know why
Personal responsibility

And now Fallout 76 is super popular while Cyberpunk is lauded as one of the best games of all time
There is a duality within all of us...a darker half.
We repeat that to ourselves subconsciously ovet and over again, in the hope we can overcome them
So many things I like from you guys but this one keeps being my fav after all these years.
So much depth.

I seriously agree. I listen to all of their albums in a row. It was one of the best experiences of my life. No sarcasm.
The Best Music for Cyberpunk settings the lyrics the tone the rhythm , everything is perfect 👌🏻
Not to mention this song was used in a trailer for Cyberpunk 2077.
This Song hits harder after beating Cyberpunk. CDPR really knew what they were doing when they picked this song for their trailer.
First time listener here. I loved the journey this song took me on.
If cyberpunk is anywhere near as good as the Witcher I'll be a very happy person. I love you CD Projekt Red.
If it even 1/10 as good as witcher 3, it would be the second best game of all time
Well if you can run it it's outstanding
Narrator: It wasn't
Who's gonna tell him?
This comment is 5 years ago.I feel so bad for cyberpunk's failure
the first time i listen to this "OH nice Cyberpunk" took only 8 yrs to come out
This band deserve more. Is great band..original often
This song I believe is waiting there at the end and by then will probably mean something completely different once again...but will I ever understand it?; PROBABLY...not😂😂😂❤
This is officially the Most underrated song i have heard 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

I actually only heard this song for the first time from the Cyberpunk trailer and to be fair, it is appreciated because it is used in a trailer and the people who see that trailer are now appreciating it and it is opening them up to music they have maybe never heard before
So, did you liked Cyberpunk 2077?

@Soaring Wings Second Stage stable society?
@Soaring Wings Second Stage Did we really? if anything, we ignored the red flags at the time, for all we know, everything at the time was just as corrupt and disfunctional as it is now. We are more aware of what is going on than ever before, in terms of politics, gaming culture, etc. But I'm currently drunk while typing this shit, so don't mind me. I wish the gaming industry wasn't so fucked up.

Spotify was the first place I heard this song, and I'm glad I did.
I literally searched up "•" on google and now I'm listening to this song.

Thank you Cyberpank 2077 devs for leting me discover this song :)
currently own 3 cds by this band. their music is amazing and they use a multitude of different styles and sounds. They even rotate lead vocals on specific songs to garner a different vibe. You could have a pulse pounding song like BULLETS,,,or a deeply emotional and heartbreaking song like Collapse Collide the next..

Music, good music is one of those things that never really goes away. I still listen to stuff from the 20's. The 1920's that is.
Personally, i'd love to see a high production value live action OR trailer-quality CGI series that follows a different Night City inhabitant every season with the story of V being season 1.
netflix cgi sucks af
IF there is a possibility for another story in nc they should stick to studio trigger.
i hope cdpr learned their lesson from the fucked release in 2020, but let's see if they do it again with phantom liberty.
Ah yes...2024...and this is still the beautiull thing it was back in 2077
