This crowd was more like an Indianapolis crowd than the ones I've seen here in the past as far as Indycar knowledge. I was stunned how many of us were cheering our heads off when you moved into third! And I've never been to a race outside of Indy where everyone stayed around to cheer on the podium. And thanks for taking time to pose for a picture with my daughter before the race, she's taking credit for the third place finish!
Congrats! Fantastic race! I was there and it was fantastic! Conor’s mom and Doug came into the grandstand just before the race started and sat down about 10 feet away from my wife and I . It was so much fun watching them throughout the race. Conor’s mom was nervous with every pass and was willing/cheering him on. So much fun to watch! We were all cheering for Conor! Fantastic drive! You and everyone around you should be proud! P.S. My wife is an Irish ☘️ and American 🇺🇸 citizen too!
Was super glad to be right there and get covered in the champagne from you guys what an awesome race 🥳 appreciated the fist bump too afterwards good shit man you are the best underdog
Congratulations!! Local girl (Brownsburg). Always cheering for you. I was there. Your mom and Doug running down pit lane had me in tears. I agree that Milwaukee was a great success. Those bars behind the stands!! Killer. Also agree that the promotion wasn’t what it should be. I checked in at the Home2 in West Alles 6 blocks from the track. And was out in about in downtown Milwaukee. NO ONE seemed to know what was happening. Servers, Uber drivers, even the front desk clerks at the hotel. Clueless. Blew my mind. Still great turn out. Can’t wait to see you more. Let go!!!
I have a friend who works for Isky and years ago when I got back into Indy Car racing, he told me to "watch Conor Daly...he's the nicest and most genuine guy out there." I've seen your ups and downs and I am SOOOOOOO flipping happy that you got podium!!!!
Great show and great race Conor! Pato, Conor and Scotty Mac..the three most passionate and charismatic personalities in Indycar today in my opinion. The series could do amazing things promoting with these guys.
Hell of a race Conor! Some of your friends were sitting in front of us as you crossed the finished line and all of us were loosing our minds! More to come!
Congrats on the podium. I was watching you on the first couple of laps of race one not premeditated, but because it was so obvious that one of the cars was carving up the field. First time at Milwaukee and I'll go back. Great event.
Great race Conor! It was awesome seeing you weave thru the field. Hope this helps you get something full time going for next year. I took my two high school age nephews to milwaukee on saturday for their first race. Wanted to say THANK YOU for signing autographs / taking pictures with them after the race. We got there right when they opened the infield parking in the morning and the whole raceday experience at the mile was topnotch and we all had a blast. They've already been asking me about going back next year. Im psyched to have some new IC fans in the family.
Pato O’Ward is great for Indycar and I hope the series doesn’t take that for granted. Same with Conor. You guys do a fantastic job representing my favorite sport.
Big props Conor, so happy for you. I know your mom and dad well, and of course Doug. I shot the podium that your pops got, also in Milwaukee. Pato’s ideas of Mexico are great. In my almost 40 years in the IndyCar biz, I did the races in Monterrey, they were packed with Mexicans and they were passionate. I did all 14 races at Motegi, including the last one on the road course. The fans still showed up in big numbers. Unfortunately Honda will not pay for the millions to repair the damaged circuit. Agreed, Brazil would be big, again I did all the races at Rio and São Paulo and they were packed with fans. And, the races at Surfers Paradise were a huge party. To make them successful IndyCar needs to get the promoter to incur the expenses of the event and in today’s business climate, I’m not sure that can be done. Another draw back could be the absence of Brazilian drivers and Will and Scott may be retired before you could pull off the Oz race. But all good ideas.
My mom and I are both big Indycar fans and Speedstreet listeners. The family is visiting and we got to watch together this weekend. Both of us just kept saying over and over how happy we were for you. I commented somewhere on Insta that your 3rd place was the best part of the whole weekend. Stoked for you and hope you get many more opportunities to have many more podiums.
I was standing up cheering till you crossed the checkered flag. I hope this weekend will lead for a ride for next year. You showed you keep your self ready being the super sub. Hinch and company were talking up what you did and 2nd race calling other drivers taking high as you did passing people. Daly pass. They all were talking you up. Congratulations Connor. I hope you get a ride for next year.
So happy for you - I love your countenance of pure joy! Thrilled you got to showcase CD the IndyCar driver. I just about swallowed my tongue when that tire was bouncing down the track with you running up front. I did a version of your trophy dance for about the last 30 laps😂 Can’t wait to see you race at Nashville 🙏🏼

It's so frustrating that the nature of the sport forces teams to employ drivers based on the $$$$ they can bring vs their talent. If it was based solely on talent, you'd have a full time ride. Been watching open wheel racing over 55 years and race one had to be one of the most amazing rides I've ever seen! How do you like Conor now, Ed??
How can we turn your 'fan favorite ' status - you represent the everyman because you reach out to us and we identify with your struggles - into your backing to race and win? If each of us could put our $100 into your pocket to race for us when we cant buy tickets and attend a remote race... Would it be enough? Theres gotta be more yokels like me with a passing glance of discretionary spending to commit to your future racing for US ... For as long as you want to, and your health allows, how can I help you? I dont need thanks from you... The hard work experiences you share in your media engagements have already earned my support. What brand wants to tie up my loyalty with you? Think Wrangler or gm Goodwrench and Earnhardt... Could carhart jackets, levi jeans, or a business PC maker want exposure to us and our dollars with you? I just love your hard work and commitment to our sport. We're living vicariously through you and are so proud of you.
it's a great question but sadly might not get the response you want... the fan support and everyone contributing to this channel with comments is huge. But the true amount of money necessary is astounding. We would need a minimum of 50,000 people contributing $100 a piece to even be in the conversation for a seat next year. It's just unreasonable to ask for that. I dont think any Indycar driver could ask that of their fan base, (even Pato) and achieve the goal. It also shouldnt be the fans responsibility anyway! hah we hope our sport grows enough to where it is supported by major companies and we dont have to worry about these types of things!
Honestly I do think he is quite a lot bigger than all the F2 drivers. I guess that is purely opinion based but I pay attention to the motorsport landscape as a whole. But i agree I do not believe we have created the star power we need as a series yet.
The race marketing in Indy Car needs to do more than rely on the season schedule and mentions of the next race after a race. It's fairly pathetic to see how empty Indianapolis is for the road racing.
@@ConorDaly22 I suggest they add $50 to the 500 tickets, in the road race range, and make it a package deal...or something similar to get butts in seats.
@@PeterKKraus that will never happen hah the 500 alone is its own powerhouse event. The GP is honestly doing great. They sell enough tickets for that to be happy and to make a profit on the event. It’s over 50K people that’s huge for a road course

Indycar needs superstars for it pull off proper international events. Pato who is the most popular in the series isn’t even as big as most f2 drivers
It's not like that in the USA. Most American race fans don't pay much, or any, attention to F2.
@@PeterKKraus bro what I’m saying is Pato is not even that big, Indycar deserves proper superstars, hopefully soon
@@billasgija390 Newgarden and Herta?
@@PeterKKraus lmao they are not big enough to draw big crowds
Honestly I do think he is quite a lot bigger than all the F2 drivers. I guess that is purely opinion based but I pay attention to the motorsport landscape as a whole. But i agree I do not believe we have created the star power we need as a series yet.
Why does Pato sound like he has a lisp in this interview? He doesn't normally sound like this.
It was on his phone so who knows! Sometimes the audio is different
Sounded super weird. However you predicted how many spots you'd move up with your handle name. Great race Conor.
The race marketing in Indy Car needs to do more than rely on the season schedule and mentions of the next race after a race. It's fairly pathetic to see how empty Indianapolis is for the road racing.
The crowd at indy GP is actually quite strong it will just never look like it because the facility is so big
Missed the second half of race 1 due to the O.A.R. concert (watched on demand after). Then watched race 2 for the mechanical disaster. I'm wondering if I should cancel my trip to Nashville so Conor doesn't get cursed by my viewership
haha, this is quite a tough situation here. I dont think the cancellation is at all necessary!
