- Combat music track for the Mant, a new story mini-boss introduced in Grounded's 1.0 Update! I had a nice surprise hearing this track for the first time during the battle, and really love the disco beat.
The fight was cool too, but it's a little hard to truly appreciate these mini-boss fights when you can only fight them once. Fortunately, I got to encounter it again for a second time to snap these images!

The mant boss music is absolutely perfect for him, it gives the raw science feeling along with the corrupted feeling, it’s the best but one the best boss music for a character

This is amazing.
Intense boss fight out of no where, the build up is amazing, and before the unknown of what was happening.
God, I love Grounded.

The red light in the middle is probably the coolest part of the fight especially when he walks over it the shading is just amazing
Honestly would have been badass if you had him stalking you from higher points throughout the game to reference the mutation description for mantsterious stranger stating you feel like something is always watching over you,and when the ability worked he would jump down to fight

The best boss/My favorite in the game for these reasons
The only humanoid like enemy
Animations are fantastic
Sounds are creepy and menacing
Theme is so cool
Buildup to the fight is masterful and very creepy
And the only thing that makes it suck is you never get to fight it again.
The fight sucks tho. Boring as hell.
don`t forget it is pretty easy to beat which makes it a good experience for new players

Fight need to be a bit harder and more epic , like explosions and infected bugs
Even if the difficulty is easy its still a really fun boss fight. Just have fun in the fight!

I love how the theme for the mant makes it actually feel like a boss battle and you gotta give credit to the person who made the song
Yeah, wish more happened though. The boss fight to me felt rather underwhelming compared to the Assistant Manager bossfight
If you’re having trouble, get right underneath the Mant and just relentlessly melee it. His attacks from up close are very easy to perfect block once you get the rhythm down and the ants won’t be much trouble if you’re hugging his legs. I did it this way and only needed one healbasa and one fiber bandage. Good luck!

Even tho this boss is quite easy to beat. I love this boss the most. Id say in my opinion the best two boss themes are Mant's theme, and then the Assistant Manager theme.
Its crazy to think tho. When Grounded released the Brood Mother was just a wolf spider.
They should make it so you can respawn him with fire ant parts, heads, mandibles, muscle sprouts, fungal growths, web fibres and spider chunks
By the way, the video is amazing, one of the best songs ever!

This one is the one that gets me the most, The undershed is most unlikely dangerous but while adding the MANT I feel like when I beat it I'm not gonna step one feet into that lab nether shed anymore

The Mant is a great boss with cool music. It's a bit too easy though in my opinion.
One thing i absolutely love about grounded is the fact that they make the music actually feel like a propor boss and not some spazzy AHAWHWHAESHWAHSDHWAHS music

fought him with basic mutations like meat shield, parry master, coup dé grass, etc., lvl 7 fresh rusty spear, lvl 9 roly poly armor, and realized i was WAY over prepared (i was on medium)
Would be epic if obsidian added a harder mant fight, in which he spawns more things, throws more things, and maybe even flies. Best place for him to be in would prolly be some secret door, vengeful mant sounds like a crap terrifying boss

Well I knew it was coming ever since I heard the recording of Wendell talking about a human-ant hybrid.
I stall the mant just to listen to its theme because its amazing but i actually do kinda hate how its way to easy and you cant fight it again
It took me and my freinds a couple of try’s to finally beat him

This was such a cool boss, but so EASY though. I just kinda hit him, as his attacks were too slow to hit me back, and because this is so late game, I had a full set of high level BULKY roly poly armour, and a level 8 broodmama club. He also has the most fire soundtrack. But I just hit him a few times and he emploded after hitting me once. Such a cool boss, but so easy.
HOLLYY SHITTT THIS IS FIREE
Me and my friend built up so much tension before fighting this guy, only to then beat him up in a minute. Cool music but easy fight
I was impatient to finish this game after almost a month of play, so I forced my way through the under shed before I was properly prepared.
I ran over the pipes to bypass the Black Ox beetles, watched the patrol patterns of the pair of Wolf spiders until I was able to run past them without being noticed, dove into the water leak and killed the mosquitoes one by one, killed all the Black Widow spiderlings by the entrance to the Black Widow's lair, baited the Black Widow out to the lair's edge with an arrow, then strafed around it in a circle and successfully parried it into the drink (since I couldn't parry it enough times in a row to beat it, but could get it to drown itself). Then I tanked the Black Widow spiderlings as I ran through the lair and out the back tunnel, only killing the spiderlings that followed me into the lab. I was out of food and water, and two of three pieces of the Antlion armor I had left over from collecting coal were broken. My torch ran out a while ago; I had gone into settings and dialed the gamma up. I cheesed the other enemies in the base with no armor by resetting my spawn point to the lab's bed and running back to finish them off every time my character got killed. It occurred to me about a minute later that I was at serious risk of soft-locking myself.
Then, after many tries, I beat the Mant with a Mint Mace and no armor.
And the award for longest comment on my channel ever goes to you 🤣

I did the Broodmother and the Mant first attempt. I tend to over prepare for battles because I stuff my inventory with healing items, including food.
I did every single boss on first attempt.

I feel like the music is more intense than the actual fight is, I’m gonna be honest, I don’t see the story bosses that you only fight once as actual bosses, they just end up being more like power walls, which kinda sucks, but between the broodmother, orchid mantis, wasp queen, and infected broodmother, there are plenty of intense fights, and those four are some of my favorite bosses in any game I’ve ever played

Thanks!! Also just fought Schmector last night, but I think they are currently using the Asst. Manager theme for him, possibly a placeholder. We shall see if they add new tracks (including one for Schmector) over the next year for a Year 3 Soundtrack! Fingers crossed 🤞

unfortunately i went to fight the mant a bit to overpowered, i have a mint mace level 8 when i first fought him so it wasnt such a hard fight but i loved it i loved all of the fight

Im so upset, got to this fight and figured out how to get into the room. Jumped in and the Mant fell instantly through the map. Never saw his fight animations, he just dead. And I dont think its a repeatable fight?

I just fight him and he ..pretty hard wheb you fight with him after survive a black widow fight XD , je took me...4 attempt because my armor was so damaged he finish by destroying my torso and destroy my health , but i think he can be a little more powerful
