Thankyou Onur, Friend of mine die trying to catch fish on Artillery Rock. Apparently Freak wave dropped him and his shoulder dislocated, water filled in his waders and he couldn't swim.
Can delivers solid content and production. I love his love of nature as well. I fish the same places he goes to so might be able to meet him some day while fishing :)
80 pound braid, rig was 70 pound. Hooks 5.0. Beginning of the video i am putting pilchard to the hook, please watch that, it is important. The first bait.
@@CanPacificFishingoh thanks bro appreciate it. Do you reckon there will be much fish to catch and if so what species? And what bait / lure should I use? Thanks bro
2.30 hightide. Normally salmon and snapper you can catch. Pilchard is best bait. Of course, try your hardbody lures too. especially slugs. That rocks gets freak waves. Please be careful, if you have life west wear it.
Cheers! I grew up inland from Lorne in a small town called deans marsh only about 20 minute drive, I am still relatively local so might check it out one day! Thanks again
@@CanPacificFishing Yes that’s correct it’s a easy way to get to Lorne if you go down the princess highway through Geelong and then to Winchelsea you turn off at Winchelsea near the golf course and continue your way through to Deans Marsh and Lorne isn’t far from that. Yes life jackets must be worn rock fishing in areas and I can understand why. Sorry for your loss mate.
You landed some top fish mate but you and the majority of Anglers fish the wrong the way I no what I’m talking about I have been fishing a long time most likely longer than you. When landing fish you should not lift them out of the water or lift them off the rocks doing this will damage their inturnal organs you should lift them out of the water with a landing net or lift them up off the rocks with your hands. This is not a good example you are showing on line and when you release the fish you should not throu them back in by doing this the fish can go into shock and die you should place them back in to the water with your hands or with the landing net. And if you keep the fish you should kill them in a humainly straight away not place them in the bag gasping for air dieing a agonising death. Regards. Laurie tight lines.
Hi, I have over 100 videos and non of the video that I showed how I kill the fish I detained. Even killing the fish humainly might be find disturbing. I will never ever show how I kill them. Of course there is a cut footage between catching and placing in the cooler. Please do not imagine and make a comment of you imagination. To make correct judgement, you need to fish with me without editing, i wouldn't criticised someone from 10 minutes edited footage that wouldn't be right. If you can't get the water to release the fish, you shouldn't put your life in danger trying to do the right thing. I am more than happy to take you fishing with me that you can do your correct judgement.

what a bewdy
Holy. That's a massive salmon. You sound out of breath after pulling it in haha. Crazy big.
Made me tired :)
Do the locals call that artillery rocks? Cheers
This was last year on Jump Rock. 4 km before Lorne. Bait was full pilchard

I think I know that town, 2nd alternative road to Lorne. Isn't it. If you choose to come to Lorne you can use that road instead Great Ocean Road
Artillery Rock after Lorne, and it's compulsory to wear a life jacket there. After losing my friend there, I ban that rock, I will not go there.

I caught 4.6kg salmon from there which even bigger than that
Good on you body,
How was lending it? If that bystander wasn't there I wouldn't be able to land it.

Nice video, good job for wearing a life jacket for safety.
Thanks for watching!
You nearly needed a chainsaw to cut that up haha. Did you measure it?
No I did not, it was around 75 cm 6 or 7 kilo
