@Taylor Smith: Twist your hips while using elbows if you don't already, otherwise, practicing on heavy bags or focus mits should help. Though focus mits are usually used for accuracy it also allows you to practice the technique till its near perfected and almost second nature, this not only helps you move more fluently but lessens the chance of mistakes when using more power in your elbow strikes.
I'm pretty sure someone's skull would get just as much if not more damaged and they would be dazed as fuck if not completely knocked the fuck out and then they would be open to any other strike you threw at them.
I like it! Ive learnd a few new moves from this. I already tend to use my elbows in fights in school as a counterattack measure: I dodge a hit and swing my entire body to land the elbow full force in the head or neck with the momentum from the dodge. Ill practice these techniques so that I can hit with my arms, cuz I punch like a little girl and have to make up for that with powerful headshot kicks. May the force be with you.
My arms are a bit built from weight-training, and the elbow to the head one I find hard getting high enough from as well as good impact. Any good ways to sort this? My arms are quite short too.
I have no training but I would try that if was life of death. Meaning the other person has a weapon. A broken elbow is better than death. Maybe target different part of the body but he is very quick with that last elbow. Also some people have high bone density. Just a thought I like elbowing boards not people I am not ready to learn with my temperament I like basketball
@poepzwerver15 Maybe it's the fact that his heavy bag training routine doesn't consist of only elbow strikes, it would be a huge waste of time to keep on removing and putting on his gloves everytime he wants to switch from elbows to punches.
im not saying hes right, im just saying i understand it. And its not that he doesnt like the same thing, it was that he HATED the thing, thats like someones like fuck all thai ill beat them all in muay thai people and noone beats his ass because what? he doesnt like the same things?
You may want to practice for maybe about a year before doing that. You cant learn martial arts by watching a video. Those instructors dont get to those elegant and powerful strikes in the matter of days. But nevermind, I'm a year too late in telling you this. Hope that you didnt get beaten up too badly
You completely miss the point of martial-arts then. It isn't so you can go around "beating the crap" out of people. It's for self-reflection and development mentally, spiritually, and physically. Something which you apparently lack.
That is a beautiful back elbow.
Yeah it is!
this is the best video ive ever seen on youtube
Amazing! Respect to the fighter and Master.
Great technique and form! You can even see the initiating jab to step in and setup the elbow strikes.
Beautiful movements. Excellent instruction. Thank you.
You are gonna having me end up in jail 😂😂😂😂😂
Lol at the bag part: "Suck it! Suck it! Suck it! Suck it!"

the last one is actually very risky, it you get them directly where the forehead meets the top you can fracture your elbow.

@Nathan Smith Exactly, most common street injury is actually to the attacker

it's quite a shame that they didn't show much of the foot work for the elbow technique.. i think that's the part when most people make mistakes...
am an Indian am a big fan of muay Thai am a kick boxer and black belt at taekwondo i will muay thai i want to lear this great art also

Wonderful elbows..
a naive question: is it uncommon to injure the elbow when striking the opponent?
@SuperNoX86 its not about built arms.....its more about a built up shoulder and back
perfeck very clear an explaination thanks
i dont remember as a kid in thailand (U-bon) using techniques like that. this is a modern style i think.
Lol at the end he's like "sup sup sup sup" to the bag. That bag got nothin on him. Lol
Took me a second to realize he wasn't saying tennis elbow :). Wondered if he was warning against injury. Much respect though.

Find it real hard to understand what he is saying but i get the gist! Thanks!
Sometimes when i land an elbow i hit the nerve and its quite painful any suggestions for that or is it normal?
Any ideas on how to add momentum to my elbow strikes? Any help is appreciated.
due maestri insieme, ottimo. Finalmente caxxo.

thanks great help!
Why is he wearing gloves if he's hitting the bag with his elbows?
Probably doing punches either side of filming

Because he wears gloves when he's fighting
I always cut my elbows up to hell when i do these drills - think its more friction burns than anything!
Hey, anyone know how much it costs to train at TmT?
They teach you how to countermanuever elbow strikes in wing chun, So that they end up getting struck by your elbow at the same time.
These guys are real fighters with real experience. Not those overweight white men with those bullshido techniques... Brutal
overweight men with no pride of fighter, shamelessly earning $$ on their black belt instructor license
Love the canadian flag hangin from the roof!
umm if you use your elbow you shounldn't have this problem your hitting him with your bone.
Elbow a jogger in the park

@xfireperson1 so people can't have a different opinion than you?
Repetition, just massive amounts of repetition across 3 speeds i.e. do slow, medium and fast elbows.
I doubt it's "right" to beat someones ass when they don't like the same things as you.
so people cant go on youtube and look up fight videos to beat the crap out of lacrosse haters?
