    Great technique and form! You can even see the initiating jab to step in and setup the elbow strikes.

    @Taylor Smith: Twist your hips while using elbows if you don't already, otherwise, practicing on heavy bags or focus mits should help. Though focus mits are usually used for accuracy it also allows you to practice the technique till its near perfected and almost second nature, this not only helps you move more fluently but lessens the chance of mistakes when using more power in your elbow strikes.

    I like it! Ive learnd a few new moves from this. I already tend to use my elbows in fights in school as a counterattack measure: I dodge a hit and swing my entire body to land the elbow full force in the head or neck with the momentum from the dodge. Ill practice these techniques so that I can hit with my arms, cuz I punch like a little girl and have to make up for that with powerful headshot kicks. May the force be with you.

    the last one is actually very risky, it you get them directly where the forehead meets the top you can fracture your elbow.

      I'm pretty sure someone's skull would get just as much if not more damaged and they would be dazed as fuck if not completely knocked the fuck out and then they would be open to any other strike you threw at them.

    it's quite a shame that they didn't show much of the foot work for the elbow technique.. i think that's the part when most people make mistakes...

    My arms are a bit built from weight-training, and the elbow to the head one I find hard getting high enough from as well as good impact. Any good ways to sort this? My arms are quite short too.

    I have no training but I would try that if was life of death. Meaning the other person has a weapon. A broken elbow is better than death. Maybe target different part of the body but he is very quick with that last elbow. Also some people have high bone density. Just a thought I like elbowing boards not people I am not ready to learn with my temperament I like basketball

    Why is he wearing gloves if he's hitting the bag with his elbows?

    • @mgz_lxw4492
      @mgz_lxw4492 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Probably doing punches either side of filming

  • @MrDKdingo
    @MrDKdingo 10 ปีที่แล้ว

    @poepzwerver15
    Maybe it's the fact that his heavy bag training routine doesn't consist of only elbow strikes, it would be a huge waste of time to keep on removing and putting on his gloves everytime he wants to switch from elbows to punches.

  • @259699
    @259699 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    You may want to practice for maybe about a year before doing that. You cant learn martial arts by watching a video. Those instructors dont get to those elegant and powerful strikes in the matter of days. But nevermind, I'm a year too late in telling you this.
    Hope that you didnt get beaten up too badly

  • @1iguerra
    @1iguerra 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    You completely miss the point of martial-arts then. It isn't so you can go around "beating the crap" out of people. It's for self-reflection and development mentally, spiritually, and physically. Something which you apparently lack.
