My uncle was a Miner in Cornwall, I am reasonably sure the last mine closed more recently than 1923 because he was still living and working in Cornwall in the 1970s. When you say they have been mining for many, many, many years you mean for 4,000 years.
My grandfather briefly worked at Giew Mine, it was a tin mine. This mine did not go out under the sea as some did, however the mines still need draining of water from the ground. The pumping engine pumped between 50 and 90 gallons of water per stroke. These were generally not drawn to the surface but sent out through adits on the side of a hill or cliff.
Hi Jordan, what's up man. Really enjoyed the area you showed and telling us about the history. Look forward to the next one. Love your laid back presenting style. Did you put 7ft in the title to stop people asking how tall you are? 🤣
Archaeologists will assign a religious significance to anything they don't understand. The stone polo mint, circle with a hole, as locals will tell you is associated with and ancient form of quidditch.
BRITAIN had its own Revolution, The American one is not important to us . 1812 - 1814 ,when The Royal Navy, sailed ⛵️, up the potomac and Burnt Washington and the White House 🏠. Coz you Burnt the Canadian Capital.
Kids will be kids the world over ,Water and kids meet you'll get a splash, Cornwall, or somewhere in Brazil, you'll see the same .Love it .
Yea! It is the truth! Always good to chat with the locals and hang with people in a new place
