I ignored DVDs for a very long time. The fact is that the majority of DVDs are worthless. But you have shown me that there is some good money still to be made with the right items. I tend to focus on British TV series and done very well. Thank you for the inspiration.
Winnie steals the show! I can't imagine having no death pile but I could imagine having a lot less than I have now. I have put summer stuff aside but like you am still making sales with it. None of the process is difficult, the buying is the most fun on good days but I wish I could take better photographs. I have the set of lights like yours but my lounge room is quite dark. Listing items and inventory control are my least favorite parts. As I have grown my inventory - have had to reorganize my inventory. I am doing this slowly as I continue to list items each day. Another good video, I did enjoy it. Always love to see Winnie.
Finally starting looking at the DVDs today because of you! Picked up Tim and Eric sealed - $4.50, listing price $30! Shipping is my least fave part for sure; especially when the thing doesn't go in the AP standard packaging. I do a lot of vintage and refuse to list something until I know what I'm packing it in! Saves headaches.

But as soon as I photograph 20 items it will sit there for a day or two before going into its bins 😂 part of me likes it cuz I’ll sometimes sell some of the items before having to store them away. Least favourite part - stocktake time and editing the existing items or ending them. So time consuming when you get up to 9,000+ listings. Thinking you need a security screen on the window behind you and some blackout curtains to stop eyes looking in

Since you dislike most packaging sold items, maybe play some of you favorite tunes that are uplifting to you while your doing it. Music can give you good energy! The thing I hate the most.... Photographing anything to do with clothes. So much piss farting around with. Measurements. Laying it out nicely. DVDs are easy. Front, back, Disk, done. Scored some good rarer DVDs yesterday at our local recycling centre (The Green Shed). They are a bit more pricey than a lot of the thrifts. Every DVD is $2. Of course this works both ways especially for series. For the $2 entry I don't grab anything unless it gets me at least $15.
Honestly it doesnt happen to often and when it does I refund and let them keep the item. I usually dont have too much money invested into the item. Less hassle

It does take a little longer mate. eBay wants to make sure you're fulfilling multiple orders correctly through the post. Usually once items have been delivered and positive feedback starts coming in you get your $$$ quicker
Listing is my least favourite part. Feels really time consuming and can be hard to focus on. Can definitely notice a difference in my dislike of listing too. My sales aren’t as high when I’m not actively listing 😂

The only part I don't like is what happenend to you today - not enough decent atricles at a reasonable price, I have seven op shops within a 120km radius that I go too. Lifelines prices are ridiculoius e.g. a used Anko T shirt for $6, a pair of ratty Nikes for $50. Salvos are the best and my local church op shop but they are hit and miss. But we keep going, one day that grail or two will turn up :)

I always cater for the total cost regardless of what model the item sells as. I dont offer free postage as such. I market free postage and cater for the price in the buy it now. Hope that makes sense.
Notice you were printing out labels, going to start listing for the first time very shortly. Is the label maker for all the shipping details etc? Is this something i should look into getting? How does it work? Cheers
Yep it is but starting out you dont need it! You could just handwrite your first few sales. Then you can get a My Post Business account and get discount and use your home printer. then when the sales are regular (maybe 5 sales a day) you can upgrade to a printer id say!
@@TheAussieFlipper with regards to posting boxsets of tv series etc. (say 4-6 seasons.) would 1 or 2 wraps of bubble wrap with sticky tape and into a satchel work? I know a small box would probably work best.

That’s right. Every item postage is built into the price. International buyers pay a postage rate. In effect I win twice on postage if someone buys internationally hope that makes sense. I think free postage helps with sales

My least favorite it dealing with difficult customers. They expect us to be perfect. We are human beings not animals if we do anything wrong they are quick to give a bad review instead of working it out with us But other then that I do love selling on ebay!

I’ve sold culture kings branded things and they sold really well! A $7 satin robe for about $80 from memory.
