But it has sinister side effects and the latest development is how mortgage lenders will be using technology to spy on your personal life and ultimately decide if you are credit worthy.

      Are they insane? save 20% down in 4 years? On the numbers you gave that's 25% of your salary (gross) each year! 20% of 400,000 is 80,000 so 20k savings each year on a 85k salary. That seems unrealistic to me.

      Heard the adage about not putting your all your eggs into one basket? The same concept applies to managing your investments. Diversification essentially means allocating your investment dollars strategically among different assets and asset categories to help manage risk. Here are three ways to do it.
      1.Spread your risk
      2. Diversify across asset classes
      3. Diversify within asset classes

    • @ameliatee2773
      @ameliatee2773 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Your diversification strategy should be tailored to your personal financial goals and tolerance for risk. If you’re uncertain about how to diversify, consider seeking the guidance of a Financial Advisor.

    • @ameliatee2773
      @ameliatee2773 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The first thing that you should consider, when choosing a financial advisor, is the experience and professional background of the prospective advisor. Adequate experience in the financial markets and dealing with clients is of the utmost importance. Since you would be handing over your finances to the advisor, she/he must be well-qualified.

    Back in the early eighties, my husband applied for a job with a major insurance company. In order for him to get the job and sustain working for this company, he was told to go out and find numerous new accounts per month. One way to find new accounts was to scan the newspapers every day and make cold calls to people who had major life events, like a new baby, death in the family, etc. This is how companies know who to target for potential business.

      The number of administrators has increased by 500% in the past 20 years, and administrators pull huge salaries. Each administrator needs a support staff, etc. Many college chancellors earn more than the president of the United States. Example from my alma mater, UC Berkeley: In January, the board voted to approve spending a total of about $800,000 to give raises to each of the chancellors. The raises would range from about 6% to 28%. After the raises, the salaries of the chancellors would range from about $522,000 to $640,000. POTUS earns $400,000 a year and has considerably more responsibilities.

The average home buyer in this current home buying generation can't afford the homes. There's a lot of public information available about nearly everyone. You can rest assured that _nobody_ is actually looking at that personal information, they just set parameters for a tool and get notified that you might be a person looking to buy what they sell. It's still pretty uncomfy but there's no creep at the bank reading "Bill has a gastric issue that impacts his take home income"
    What _was_ creepy was when I worked at a call center for a medical provider, with almost no training and a single interview, they gave entry level hourly workers access to tens of millions of medical records that you could search through by name and zipcode with absolutely zero oversight. Made me very uncomfy.

    The guy that started mortgage pro built out sales boomerang, they use it to upsell borrowers not determine if they qualify for a loan, for example if a person is divorcing or having a kid they notify their partner realtor and contact the client. This is not used by the actual lenders it is used by loan officers to bring in more business. Another example is if I did a loan for you 3 years ago but get an alert an issue happened where taking out equity may help you thats when the loan officer reaches out.

    PA. is probably a no on an electric car mandate. Replacing a battery in one of those electric cars is very expensive like north of $20K. Batteries last on average eight to ten years. I had to replace the battery in my 2010 Toyota Hybrid and it was $2300. The car was nine years old with 76K miles. If the dealer and Toyota hadn't helped out with the cost of the replacement it would have cost me closer to $3,500.

Around $7 per charge... 2-3 times a week. I pay discounted fees to the Power company because I own an EV. It's definitely not for everyone. I hope the other states don't mandate this same policy. They quit printing, everything collapses. That tells you a sitting pile of cash is quickly eroding in terms of what you can buy with it in the future.

      You think that’s bad? (Which it is). You know how yearly you fill out the paperwork update stuff at Dr? One of the questions on form. Does the patient own guns? 😳 My daughter even got that on a Dr update form. I didn’t fill it out. Then you go into room with girl, she goes over questions etc. And asked me. I said . Ok this is the Dr office. WHAT business it it of yours WHAT is in my home?? Like you have my SS #. It is NONE of your bizz what is in my house. Whether I have or have not guns. She said yah, people are upset about that question, and many say the same. WHICH IS GOOD.
      Then I had to get some stitches in arm last summer. Go to emergency place around corner. Part of Sarasota hosp. Do the paperwork thing at counter. Notice this hand scanner thing on their desk. I thought, 🤔 must be a temperature reader. (Being everyone was taking temps for covid no matter where u went). So receptionist says ok, place your hand there. As I put hand to go on it. I asked, “what is this”. She replied, we scan your hand , that way no matter where you are. You have your hand scanned and ALL your info comes up. I quickly took my hand off and said, “🤚 NO, that’s creepy and I will not do that”. She had no problem with me not. But I’m like Oh boy, just TOO MUCH INFO! You have all my insurance info. You DON’T need that! 😳 Plus they always take copy of your license.
      And just some of the “new” more personal questions they ask on insurance forms. Really NONE OF YOUR BIZZ. If I’m having a problem in this area. I’ll let yah know! I don’t trust the medical field at all either after all this bunk! Glad I never been on facebook or twitter either. We’re going to be China if people AT LEAST just say, “NO”. Crazy times!
