Written in 1863 by the Union Army bandmaster Patrick S. Gilmore, this marching song, based on an Irish folk tune, became even more popular in the years after the Civil War. When Johnny comes marching home again, Hurrah, hurrah! We'll give him a hearty welcome then, Hurrah, hurrah! The men will cheer, the boys will shout, The ladies, they will all turn out, And we'll all feel gay when Johnny comes marching home.
Thank you Doug, I have always loved this film, it's from the year I was born. They just get the mix of the humour and the serious side right. It was mainly done using Photoshop to colour 35500 separate frames then premier pro to make the frames into a video and add the original audio. There is a video on my channel showing how I do it.
Looks great in color thanks!!!
Thanks, I did the whole film but couldn't put it on here.
@ I would have to seen that in color
@@MikeyDooWopOldies I have just put the colorized film on Rumble. rumble.com/v5nj1on-stalag-17-colorized-version-of-the-classic-film.html
Classic Movie ! 10 / 10 , 2024 .
I think this is one of the top ten films ever made... maybe top five.
Totally agree, I love it
Whoa!
What a dose of cold water that was!
Peter Graves, finding himself, on the wrong side of an impossible mission!
He deserved what he got!
"Two packs of cigarettes say Dunbar never gets out of the compound"
Loved it
Yes it's a great film
Great movie. Pretty good job of colouring it except for when the uniforms kept going red.
Yes, faces are easy to get pretty good, but moving clothing is difficult.

Loved this movie growing up and it’s great to see it in color. Which software did you use?

wow...
The uniforms change color.
yes, that`s one of the drawbacks with this, you can play with the settings but it`s hard to prevent this.
Many students must remember their principal.
Just doesn’t need color. I would argue that the film is stronger BECAUSE of the B&W photography. The same goes with Brute Force.
Wake up Animal. Betty Grable on da phone
