Yep, they need to get a crew out there and cut down some of the fallen trees across the line and cut back the bush. I was just there from Glinz lake rd to humpback and its messy in some areas however a beautiful walk none the less. Hey Kiwibirdman, Ive seen many of your photos posted on google earth and am trying to find out how to get to Cecil bloggs cabin. I am stumped. I went to both places where you posted the pictures using gps and still cannot find it. Could you assist me any further?

    Just found out about this.
Really the whole liability thing is a bit ridiculous. First of all, people naturally want to avoid getting hurt. Second, walking is extremely safe due to the fact its very low speed. I face far higher risk riding my bike anywhere than walking this pipe. Finally, the very people who would seek this out are going to be fairly fit experianced hikers. Its just not that much of a liability. Besides, what would they propose to do? Pay to have it removed? Lol, That is exactly what they probably would do not because it makes financial sense but because that would involve handing a lucrative contract to some political donor or buddy of theirs. Its not like these government bodies really fret over tax dollars. Is the CRD even voted in? Or are they appointed? That is a whole lot of power for people not voted in.
