- Welcome to day 4 of the Inktober Tangles for 2023! Today’s pattern is Sunbelt by Jody Genovese, CZT, and it is a beautiful geometric ribbon pattern. I really enjoyed the version on Jody’s tile pictured in her step out, so I added a step to my version. Either way is beautiful.

I watch several different people doing Inktober (well, year round actually), and I believe you’re the only one I’ve seen take Sunbelt to this level. When watching them I always felt I wanted it to be more 3D - and you did it! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it. Plus you made your little black triangles very precisely, which so enhanced the look. Most of the others I saw just hurriedly “threw” them in. This is the version I’ll be doing for sure. I can’t play along right now due to other commitments, but those will be finished in a week or so and I’ll be playing catch up then! Beautiful!

Barbara, I am so glad I found you. This is my first Oktober. I am also following Kelli Boulin. I tried doing Kelli’s Sunbelt, which she did on the diagonal. I just could not get it to work out. I switched to your example and was finally able to do Sunbelt. So, thank you very much.

I wasn't able to do this yesterday but just finished this one. I'm gonna say not my fave. It's one of those that looks super easy and ..yeah no. My looks like stink but I'm not throwing it away. It's going in the 30 days collection. Now for today's! I'm scared to see what it is🤪😂😂🥰
This one took a LOT of practice for me! It is a pretty border or ribbon, but I’m also not sure that I’ll use it. 🙃 Day 5 is better, LOL! 🥰
Hi Barbara, I tried the stepout in Jody's instagram for this. It was sooo challenging! I loved her round versions for it though. And now, seeing how you did yours, it seems effortless. I'll give it a try again using your method for sure! Thanks!

Good for you Barbara! You're the third individual that I have watched and you have the best stepout yet. Your's makes sense and looks great! I'm a newbe here, so this is a little brave of me, but what do you think of making the peaks first, and then the little triangles?
