I work in such a factory aswell, i work on the machine that folds the paper, and i love it, the job is just so satisfying when you see the paper getting folded, i love to work in this industry and its just fun to watch how books are made, the only downside where i work is that some steps we have to do by hand instead of a machine doing it and some our machines are a bit dated, but we still manage to create amazing books
This factory uses the glue-up “perfect” binding used for casual paperbacks, workbooks, etc. The coup de gras method is the signature sewn flexible binding, encased in molded covers. This latter method is more exoensive but is the library standard going back to the Renaissance days, and holds uo over time.
That was nothing like I expected. Amazing to see all those machines perfectly timed and fast. Thanks for sharing. Nice job on all your videos that I,ve watched

This is so fascinating to see... The workers are pretty skilled though. I'm sure if I have to handle stacks of paper like them, I would have toppled some down immediately. I'm so curious to know how often the workers got paper cut though? I know they wear gloves, but handling freshly cut paper tend to do that to you.
Also... the book sleve folding machine is awesome. Alhough from the environmental point of view, the book sleeve is excessive, but it sure is beautiful!

I have a question. How hygienic are the papers in books? Does it have a lot of human contact?
What would you say is the cost of entry into this business in terms of buying the equipment alone.
@@ColtraneTaylor The paper is rarely touched by human hands. Most handling is completed by machine, except for occasional quality checks.

The angle of the cutter must be so precise to cut a perfect square. I wonder how they do that. Those machines are not doing straight down cuts.

How wonderful the process is!!!
This is telling me how great all the paper books are.
Very Interesting Machinery Works.

Amazing how complicated this is, I once worked in an printing press I know what it feels like to make one little mistake ruins the whole process.
Where are the safety buttons for both hands on the cutting machine?
Plus no light barriers, take it they just replace the guillotine operators as required.
yeah, it looks dangerous
Oh waoo I'm so glad to see this 😍😍😍 Bravo for everyone who are engaged in this process 👏👏👏👏

그런 제어는 안됩니다.
그냥 위에서 아래까지 자르는 거죠.

Nice video, but what is the name of the machine used for collating or sorting after folding .
Thanks.

Great video! I'm wondering, though, where does the cut paper go?? It's such a waste since there are tons of it. Can it be recycled?
Yeah, for sure:)

Very cool, although that guillotine cutter should have a two-hand safety interlock.
My thoughts exactly, no light barriers or twin cut buttons. So dangerous, would get you an instant prohibition notice from HSE in the UK.
I also noticed
