I love this look! I have the same Kat Von D palette. I was confused when you were naming the shadows tho. Mine saw that bukowski and bellbottom are the blue shades. The brown shades are specimen and leather :)

I LOVE the Kat Von D primer. I use it as to conceal as well and it works wonders.
Another way to get a perfect wing effect is to place a piece of scotch tape from the corner of your eye to the edge of your eyebrow. This gives you the defined look in the wing and also allows you more leeway for mistakes with both eyeshadow and eyeliner.

I always amazes me when people can get such a perfect crisp line with those hard felt tip liquid eyeliners. I've been doing winged liner for a long time, & tend to favor using liquids over gels/cremes, but for some reason I can't use anything that has a hard felt tip. Like the marker ones, I can't use them unless they're the kind with a brush tip (like the Physicans Formula Lash booster or Kat Von D pen), & not many are like that, most markers are a hard felt tip. And then the kind in the more traditional packaging like the one you used, but they have the felt tip, I can't use them, I'm all over the place if I try-it's almost as though that tip gets like, caught on my skin & 'jumps' around, if that makes any sense. I just have better luck with the brush tip kind. Often times when I'm about to throw away a liner if it's old, I'll save the brush & wash it off to use for incase I get a liquid liner that has a felt tip applicator-I've had that happen, where I'll love a formula, but hate the applicator, so this way I can just use a little brush.
Cherry is right, the palette she uses was a limited edition one from a year or two ago. However, the browns in the palette Ludwig are similar to the ones she uses here, or if you want a whole range of browns to play with you can try the Saint palette. I tried the browns in my Ludwig palette & they worked great for this look on me!
Even though I love your pinup makeup, you do look amazing with barely any on too!

you could leave out the false eyelashes and tone down with the eyebrows and lips. Just contour your eyes and use white eyeliner on your waterline, then add black eyeliner with a wing. Totally cute and not too much!

Yeah, I do that sometimes when I apply dark shadow... not usually when I do liner though.

im actually a make up artist and it is so hard to get that perfect flared out eyeliner. I love it and how you showed how to do it!

another trick I use to make sure my make up doesnt exceed my eyebrow point, is to put tape from the end of my eyebrow to the outer corner of my eye... it gives it a very straight edge but its easy to blend out if its too dramatic

Try a lipstain. It won't come off at all. And I just tease my bangs and brush them back.
I think it is less about the foundation and more about the powder! I would go with a light foundation of BB cream and use a relaly good setting powder. Victorias Secret makes a translucent one that I love!

@FashionForever07 Depends on your skintone. I have both, but have brown skin (medium brown like Beyonce ish). Russian red is yellow based and makes my teeth look yellow. Ruby woo is blue based (a little pin-up/retro), and suits me much better because it doesn't make my teeth yellow because of my skintone. Better to try them both on in the store. Hope that helps x

Usually, I use white on the lids and the highlight, and as long as it is matte, it looks really good. Not "drag queen" like, unless you do a cut crease with it :)
I show how I curve the liner in this video. I also have an everyday pinup makeup tutorial that shows how to do liquid liner. And yes, always apply shadow before liner. It will give a cleaner finish.
Or you can try a rose or coral shade of lipstick. The lip butters are awesome too! It gives a light flush of color without a heavy lipstick look :)

@BonitaBoricuaxoxo Absolutely! I live in LA and all of the Mexican rockabilly girl wear makeup like this and it is so beautiful! You just have to make sure to get a foundation that matches your tone. :)
Yeah they don't make that line anymore at all. So frustrating when companies do that! I use mostly Two-Faced shadows now.
I've never seen a professional make up tutorial where they used those cheap lil foam applicators instead of brushes...you sure make that work.

Thank you so much for this tutorial! Most people tend to overdo it with the pinup makeup, but yours is perfect! The minute that I saw your hair tutorials I said to myself "I really hope that she has a makeup tutorial as well!
I hope you don't mind me asking, but do you have any tips on doing the tail part of the eyeliner? I'm legally blind from my left eye (and have shaky hands) so it's very difficult for me to get the eyeliner on my right eye

I stumbled across your videos while searching pinup hair and makeup and was immediately mesmerized by you! So thank you for being an inspiration. You mentioned 2 VS eyeshadows in this video - bubbly and crystal ball - and I saw that you loved them. I tried going out to get them and cant find them online OR in stores!! Do you know if they are discontinued or what you recommend in place of them?

Hey ive been trying to do cat eyes for awhile have trouble always looks weird to.me. I.love them. Do u go up at end of eye like curve n how far . Can u use regular liner .i.have glitter eyeliner right now. Can u do cat eyes w all liners n colors . Should u always put liner on after shadow ?i usially do it before. Can u help me . I dont really were much.make up . Want suddel look .

@camelsaresexy Hmmm, well I am not sure about this one. My boyfriend is blind in his right eye, but he doesn't wear eyeliner, so he won't be much help. Haha. My best advice is always to keep practicing! I've been using liquid for 15 years, so I have had plenty. Definitely doesn't happen overnight!

I'm sort of asian looking (1/4 Japanese) and have a hard time with eyeshadows because my lids, crease and brow ridge are so close together. Any suggestion/tips on how to make this look work for me?
