    Would love to see a video on this vs your Growatt 5k es, as far as differences and improvement. My main complaint with the Growatt is the fans never seem to stop even when drawing less that 500watts.

      Much quieter, more solar input, more AC output. 👍

    I've been there with one my batteries. I thought it wasn't recovering from an overcurrent event and it was recovering. It was just stuck in a loop that was making it think it was still in OCP and my manual restarts worked on coincidence.
    Who knows what signature solar meant. These devices have crappy documentation and the value signature solar adds is the ability to test things. Based on the 6500s it will take them a year or two until they actually figure out all this stuff. I'm interested in these but got burned with the 6500s so I'll wait to see how these are for people after a year.

    @Rodney a friend of mine is having issues getting his EG4 LL rack mount batteries communicating when his EG4 6000XP .. can you tell me are you using the CAN or RS485 ports and what protocol you set the inverter and batteries to? Also you use the orange cable that comes with the inverter or the cables that comes with the batteries?

    • @rodneyhunt
      @rodneyhunt  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Step 3 lithion ion then brand 0 for eg4 for lifepower4 batteries. Not communicating with my LL since they are nit close enough to my lifepower4 to reach with short cable and my system will charge at max with only 12 of my 17 batteries communicating. Rs485

    First of all, I would like to start off by saying thank you for all the knowledge that you put out there to everybody. I got my E4 6000 XP and December per other peoples recommendations 10,000 W of solar is recommended so that’s what I have. All of my parameters are correct and not exceeding the limits Every single time my unit gets close to 7000 W of PV input the unit starts screaming. Can you do a video bringing in that much Solar according to signature Solar this is a problem that they are starting to see and do not know what the problem is. They are sending me out a new unit , thank you for your help if you can

    Great video. Will the 6000 xp auto restart if the batteries go to 0% one the panels charge the batteries back up to a specific percentage?

    • @rodneyhunt
      @rodneyhunt  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The 6000xp will only go down to 5%-15% then you can set it to start back higher. Will need to lookup the exact settings but I can test to verify one day. It should restart as I have had it stop when set to 15% low limit then changed it to 5% and it starts running again. 👍

    Hey Rod, thanks for these videos. Wouldn’t it be better to figure out dc/dc charging for your car? Should be possible.

    • @rodneyhunt
      @rodneyhunt  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It would be more efficient but this is easier. I have looked at a few options that the cost doesn’t justify it. But maybe one day I can Diy was something. The communication with the car would be beyond me I would guess if trying to use the dc charge port. I am sure you need communication protocol for it to start

    • @theadventuresofarenaissancman
      @theadventuresofarenaissancman 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The Cost to install a true DC to DC is excessive. BTW most DC Fast chargers operate on 3 Phase AC...so you still have the conversion loss.

    • @rodneyhunt
      @rodneyhunt  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I did see a true DC to DC option but can’t remember the name. It was nit a production model at that time so not sure if it is available but it was direct solar to car. Looked cool but probably only commercial applications for parking areas. I emailed them for info but no response

      I still use the grid at times. Sometimes due to testing stuff and others because I am trying to save batteries for potential power outages during bad weather. So I run everything less than I should but a good amount of the time I am off grid.
