My sister taught this song to all of the nieces and nephews ... you should have seen those little kids belt this out. That was years ago. My sister died this week and her memorial service was today. The final "secret" song was played ... you should have seen their faces when this song blasted out of the speakers. Where before there were tears, suddenly there were smiles and singing. Thank you Three Dog Night ....
Bailey Stewart ~An angel on Earth & an angel in Heaven👼~An awesome rockin' angel! Thank you for sharing (even if it was 4 years ago...thank you) Angels rocking!! =*)
@@johne1599 No, it was all my idea, my sister's death, while we knew it was coming, snuck up on us. So in planning the funeral I tried to think of music she loved ... we did have a song that was ours, but not this one. Thank you for your comment!
My band all the way...love all their songs and went to their concerts whenever they were in town back in the early 70's!! Saw them again and again over the years...sad to see my favs getting old!...kinda like me!! LOL!
Love these guys and have seen them in concert whenever they've been in town....been their fans since the early 70's!! Sad to see them getting old as all the great bands are...as I am!?!
We saw these guys waaaay back in about 1973 in edmonton, Alberta. Festival seating, which is on astoturf. Great concert. Lots of Baby Duck bottles. Medics helping those in need. ;-) Very smoky, even when it was illegal. Such good memories!
Micahel Allsup ....... one of the most versatile, creative, and unique guitarists in the world ........ seems like a great guy too ........and most people have no idea who he is.
I'm late its true, but thank you Big Lots for Christmastime 2017. Time travel needs to be put on fast track so I can go back to these glory days. I wasn't born in their glory days, but I appreciate great music regardless of whenever it was produced. #joytotheworld #alltheboysandgirls 😁😉

Joy to the world! Joy to the world! Oh, woah Joy to the world! The Lord is come Let earth receive her King! Joy to the World" is an English Christmas carol. Written in 1719 by the English minister and hymnwriter Isaac Watts, the carol's lyrics are based on Psalm 98, Psalm 96 (verses 11 and 12) and chapter 3 of the Book of Genesis (verses 17 and 18). The carol is usually sung to an 1848 arrangement by the American composer Lowell Mason.🎸🎺🎷🥁
Reminiscing about three dog night. My favorite band in college. They had so many hits. Cory had the rough voice and chuck was the pretty one with the long hair. Too bad that they don't tour together.it happens to bands. The songs are still great specially " One" which is Chuck's song.
Great song no doubt about it. I heard it two months ago on a radio that puts songs of the 70s, 80s and 90s in their great majority greatest hits. But honestly this maybe I particularly liked for its simplicity and because it reflects a lifestyle that is not what today brings. Anyway thank you very much for uploading.
Yes, he did. I saw them in concert at the State Music Theater in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, on November 28, 1981, and he waved at me from the stage. Am posting on 11-17-20; that'll soon be 39 years.
Joy to the world All the boys and girls, now Joy to the fishes in the deep blue sea Joy to you and me Such a wonderful song... They don't make like that anymore
A U can say what U want about Chuck they had 7 number 1's and Chuck Sang Lead Vocals on 4 of them 7 so he can't be that Bad and We will never see anything like them again in our time. Just A Damn SHAME I guess we need to be thankful for what they did for Late 60's Early 70's and Rock and Roll folks. Still Listen to'em now and for Ever U go 3DN #1 Easy to Be Hard.
I recall this song when it became a hit, playing at a party I was attending at age 12 and I had my first kiss haha. We were pretty steady… for about two weeks. I moved on and so did she, but you never forget. Here’s to you Sarah, hope you’re still doing well. 🥂
Cory doesnt struggle on anything vocally. He has one of the best voices in the business. Danny and Cory are carrying on the Three Dog Night while Chuck has decided to be One. Enjoy the music and quit worrying about Chuck not being there. Hes a great singer, but Cory especially does a great job on all his songs.
Those were the days! We need this now.
Yes, would revive a very dull world.

3 dog night One of the most underrated rock bands even tho there beloved and had dozens of hits corey Danny and chuck what a trio
This was my very FIRST favourite band growing up, I’m only now realizing how spiritual they were.
My high school choir teacher put "Joy to the World" on the Christmas concert flyer - the audience was quite surprised when we belted out this version.
I was 12 when this song came out. I loved it then and now. Thanks Dan for posting this video.
I was 13!! 🫶🏽

THREE DOG NIGHT..... ROCKED.... I forgot how good these guys were...
This is probably the best Three Dog Night song that I have ever listened to!
They definitely don't write songs like this any more nor are there talented performers in the same class as these guys were. Love it.
Great band . They had their own problems
Ah, Three Dog Night! Loved them and every thing they sang!
What a wonderfully uplifting song! Wonderful that the late Hoyt Axton wrote it but no one does it better than Three Dog Night!
This was the BEST! Sorry that Chuck is missing, but Danny and Cory sure can more than handle the song. Loved them back in the day and still do!
I saw em play in concert at the Great Texas Mosquito Festival in Clute TX early 2000s. The play was packed too. They roxed it too. 🤘😎🇺🇸
The lead guitar man wow.you rock the earth man
Wow. Just wow! I don't know when this was recorded,, but those cats could STILL belt! So glad to have stumbled on this one.
Loved this music in South Africa in the early 1970's .... good old time stuff definately 🎶 🎵 ❤ 👍 ❤
There is so much great music from this time period. Soak it up and enjoy. Those of us who are older are happy to share it with you. :)
When music was the air we breathe. Fantastic Hoyt Axton tune, sung with great gusto here!!
