Would you like to have a tea or a coffee.?
I have read somewhere that the correct usage is :
" a cup of tea" or " a cup of coffee." It was also mentioned that we could ask, " Would you like to have some tea or coffee.."
The explanation given was :
Tea is a liquid here, like water, milk, etc., and therefore a material noun, and before a material nown an article cannot be used.
