    From Idea to finished product. The Texas Come Along can carry empty shipping containers behind a 3/4 ton truck, lifting them off the ground with nothing more than an electric winch.

    I 'm a fabricator from the shipyards to pipe lines and years of custom fab jobs including building every kind of trailer you can name out of my jobber weld shop. So, I feel qualified to say unequivically that --- that is a stellar fab job. Hat's off to ya bud. Dan

    20 ft box is 5000 lbs . 40 ft. 9800 I hauled them empty all day long for the ship yard. You can haul a 20 ft on 16 ft tandem , I have done it

    Great design, and with a pickup you can get into a lot tighter spots than a highway tractor. That said, the two 20 footers scabbed together and cantilevered looks awful darn sketchy. I wouldnt want to meet that on the road.

    Ohh man I love this product .. its brilliant to say the least and such a economical way to move these sea cans around without hiring a semi!! I may even build one for myself.. good show boys... and as far as the Ford comment goes? My F 350 would pull one of the forth footers Sea cans loaded with Chev pick-ups.. without issue.. So put that in your pipe and smoke it like the Chevy does..lol

    You would have to think I would be cheaper to get a tilt tray to move it??..and can you move them when they are full,because those ones where empty...Can you move a fourty foot with say 15 t in it..If not don't see the point.. or is it just for empties...

    • @LaPurr

      but it says Ford F- 250 on the windshield! 23 second mark. The Chevy won't have a problem, containers only weigh 6-8k ish empty. Seriously though, a good idea using the container as its own frame. I've loaded onto a flat deck trailer using machinery skates and a cable puller, would not work offroad though.

      Actually, fatboy was on to something. The first thing I did was mute the crappy music. Second, I was wishing they would have a good voice over narrative describing the equipment as it was being built and put to use. Now, what the hell do I know. I'm not from Texas. But I do have over 1.5 million safe miles hauling chit for a living. Some things for the government over 14 million in value in a single load. Yeah, the video could use a little professional input.

    haha no way would an old yank made truck pull one of those, a 40ft container is over 4tonne empty, before adding the weight of the trailer underneath

    • @member5488
      @member5488 7 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      What do you mean by "old yank made truck"? Since the '70s, 12,000 pounds would be inside specs for one ton class pickup to tow in the US, much less any of the trucks in the video, most of which are around or over 20k towing. You can buy 1/2 ton GM 1500 pickups rated to tow 12,500 pounds now.
      Or were you daft enough to think people are buying them and hauling loads in them? That trailer is strictly for moving empty containers that are being turned into storage or other uses, not hauling cargo.

    • @katlman
      @katlman 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      1995 Ford F250, 180,000 miles, original powerstroke, 5 spd manual, gooseneck 24' dual axle dual wheel trailer, original Case580 backhoe, 24,365 lbs official CAT scale, 1252 miles going the back way up to 7% grades up and down. Killed 1 deer that was too stupid to get out of the way & changed 1 fuel filter. Straight through. It can be done, I don't recommend anything over 20K gross though. You better know what you are doing. Not bad for a crappy old yank made truck.
