This video took quite a while, but it is finally here. This was a very hard topic to do research on, so there are without a doubt some mistakes in it. Please correct them in the comments below! :D

Woah, I've always thought the Emil 1&2 are fakes by WG but after hearing an in depth of the whole tank series, I believed in these tanks now though in a different way
And I love the part where the Kranvagn hull were used for later Swedish projects

In World of Fake Tanks the Emil 1 design, with the gun at top of the turret, is fake. The correct design, and it was blueprints only, is the Emil 1951 with the gun positioned at half height of the turret.

Would be cool if they gave a Kranvagn hull and Ceturion Turret as Tier X reward tank.
The corporation of Sweden and France after the war is a real interesting storie. I heard that thy were one of the only country's that were allowed to pick out tanks that were laying around after the war and were even given a few.
It is indeed something cool, especially because Sweden was a neutral nation..

Seeing not even World of Tanks but World of Tanks BLITZ footage of an Emil I used just brought such a tingly smile to my face
yea, you already know i am 10 pounds of crap on WoT PC, we keeping it at blitz haha.
40 rounds per minute with heat shells. Meaning a 1.5 second reload for a heavy tank and okay-ish armor. Bruh definitely doesnt sound broken
I didn't know that the Swedes considered putting Centurion turrets on the Kranvagn hull. ( I thought the Stridsvagn K was just some Wargaming BS ). I love the Kranvagn and it's the second tech tree tier X I've ever gotten.
Before calling it BS, do your research.
@@endahummukharis2838 I never called it BS. I said I never knew it existed as a design and I just thought Wargaming made it up as they tend to make up a lot of vehicles for their games.

I would think that the IS3 would be quite limited in mountainous Sweden.
it would be tricky to work with, but the IS-3 would not really have any significant threats, cuz Sweden lacked a lot of stuff

Really nice video, although im intrigued why you called the m/42 a failure
M/42 became outdated basically as it rolled of the production line. I believe the vehicle itself was not actually too terrible, but it was severely outdated..

Its quite a tricky topic lol, but Sweden hasnt really worked together with the USSR, but with Europe. So West vs East, Soviet Union vs Europe thingy. But yea, Sweden could be a completely different entity lol.
Right so neither actually existed - i.e. never went into production.
The Emil might have never been built, but the KRV hull is still around. It was just not completed, there is a difference there

3:53 you say 170mm turret and 120mm hull, but you show a schematic with 150mm and 70mm. Neither case the armor should have been made of Helium to weight 28 tons.
Yeah, a mf marder is heavier. And then: Oh no, 40 tons is too heavy, we cant use this tank. Anyway, here is 45+ tons centurion.

Great video and well researched! Maybe consider toning down or not using at all the camera shake that comes with that vintage filter. I can't speak for everyone, but it hurts my eyes to look at more than a couple of minutes. Maybe I'm just getting old lol

I really like the use of World of Tanks Blitz Footage on this video, as the game provided so much attention to Kranvagn and its Line. And also at 8:23 the Strv K in the game, which was really brought into the limelight after the Blitz Cup.
I stil love World of Tanks Blitz, even tho I do not really play it a lot anymore. The Kranvagn is one of my favorite tanks in the game too!
HEAT only? The IS-3 and subsequent IS tanks had spaced and steep angles. Interesting...
Not quite sure, it could be possible it would fire other types of shells too. I just cant confirm nor deny that statement, as online people mainly talk about the HEAT shells.

Still to this day the IS3 is a beautiful beast to behold.
It put the absolute shits up anyone who saw it when it first appeared.
The western allies especially had every right to fear it.
I have a 1:72 scale model on the bookshelf in front of me here, right next to the King Tiger

IS-3 is indeed such a cool tank. I tried making a video about, similar to this one, but it sadly did not really work out. But its awesome you have some nice models! I have some myself and i gotta admit, I might have had some fun duels as well :D

but i didn't knew that these tanks are actually designed.
I call it the "KRV" in WoT and people sadly don't know what I'm talking about. They need to be educated on it as I personally love the KRV in WoT, and its history.

@3:15 this shows a glacis of 70mm and a turret face of 150mm. I The lfp is 120mm so i can see some grounds for confusion there, but how have you got a turret of 170mm?
Usually i compare armor values from different sources to see which values are likely to be the real numbers. Unfortunately, the script for this video was more rushed than the Jagdpanzer 38 T, so it is just a mistake from my end.

A very curious question,,does the emil and the kranvagns frontal turret is close to unpenetrable???
mainly depends on what is hitting the turret, but yea it could take a punch or two.
