Thanks brotha 👍 I think we are kind of making it a thing now here, we were inspired by the TH-cam channel SeaUlcer and we made our own little contraption with the DJI Phantom 3 that has been working great for us. We've been experimenting with dropping jigs, live bait and all kinds of other stuff, one of our guys hooked up on a Marlin within 20 seconds after dropping a live akule, didn't land it though but still pretty epic. #thepossibilities 🙏🙏🙏

But I never thought of dropping lures and retrieving em, you guys try topwaters at all? That would be pretty sick. Would be sick to drop big lures for onos too on spinning gear. Possibilities really are endless.
@@RyanMyersExpeditions I have a mavic air, that drone I strictly use it for video purposes and have used it to try to spot the bait balls, there is so much action going on in those Waters we can clearly see it directly from the cliff. Haven't tried top water lures yet but it's definitely on our to-do list. We were talking about dropping Mark White lures out in the deep blues to see if we could land a fish. We even got a little challenge among st the boys on whoever can hook the best fish, winner will receive a lure from The Mark White mystery box. But yes we are always trying new things and can't wait to get back out there again 💯

Great content! I caught to aweo aweo on my last vacation on Maui. Both were just over 11” and I caught them under a bobber on a pice of squid. My family agrees that the aweo aweo are the best tasting grilled fish. I fish for them every night that I can while on vacation. I catch way more menpachi and they are good but the aweo aweo are supreme!

I was in the same boat when I first started fishing down at South, wouldn't catch anything major, once we started droning then that's when we were getting action. We are droneless at the moment, it's a risky method of fishing no doubt. But that's not stopping us from getting another one again soon, we try to be out South every week, on a whim or if we can muster up some gas to get down there, fishing is so expensive I'm sure you know. Hopefully sometime in the future we run into each other down there 💯
@@brandonkawabata346 I would recommend getting a DJI phantom 4 available on Amazon. I wouldn't recommend the phantom 2 or the phantom 3, we lost our drones due to hardware failure and the fact that they are old. Might as well stick to the latest and the most updated DJI drone.
Shoreline fishing is shoreline fishing no matter the method. Shoreline casting and drone fishing is two completely different methods that fall under the category "shoreline fishing" You have guys here that uses baglines & kites to send their lines out from shore, using a drone ain't no different in my opinion. The bagline method was around since the 60s, so I can imagine people saying it's kind of cheating when that method was first introduced, now it's considered the norm. To each their own, what really matters is at the end of the day our families get food in their bellies and everyones happy 🤙
