Thanks. I will come back to this in a year and see what the situation is like then because I still have an active nabu sub till October 2025. Until then I will use the nabu integrations. But this is awesome news that this works. Hopefully in a years time it is much more mature and the ui is better.
Great video! One question - so there's no way to integrate with HomeKit without Google Home? In my case I only have Home Assistant & HomeKit so I'm not sure how to integrate it.
This looks promising. Thanks for making a video about it 👍🏼 Do you know if you can control the devices added to Google Home by voice and if so, how does it recognise their names?
Yes.. that is the whole idea i.e To be able to control via voice. You can use the default name of the device or you can change the name of the device in Google Home and use that name.
I am assuming its matter compatible e.g like a google home mini. Also please check if ipv6 is enabled in your router. Matter devices work with ipv6 addresses.
@@Antonis_Hagistavrou you dont need a separate matter hub. Your smart speakers will help you to integrate matter devices. Like e.g google home mini for google home ecosystem, homepod mini for apple ecosystem, etc.
