Also, the pace of technological advancement is clearly becoming a central pillar of the problems facing Zemuria as a whole. The rapid advancement isn’t just because of reparations, it’s because of groups with criminal motives keep finding ways to exploit supernatural singularities to bypass decades of research. Daybreak’s main antagonist group achieved power by finding a way to semi-replicate the singularity from Crossbell, and you just can’t put the Genie back in the bottle. (You can’t un-invent nuclear weapons after blowing up two Japanese cities and killing hundreds of thousands of civilians, for example). I don’t know if technology is beginning to imitate the functions of Artifacts and Sept-Terrions, but it’s clearly going too far, way too quickly. I also want to fucking know why desertification is happening out East-it’s not like they’ve been mining Septium for centuries, the Revolution only began 50 years earlier!!!
About to start Daybreak, going to buy Vengeance when it goes on sale, I didn't play DQ from 3 until 11. Would really like DQ 8 on current systems. Hoyo games can burn
Alright, a couple comments about the Daybreak portion, my personal opinion. 1) I can understand the technological concern of tech progressing too fast in Zemuria but look at how fast we ourselves have progressed in say, 50-75 years. It's really not that unrealistic considering Orbal tech is said to be far more advanced than our own electricity harnessing. Plus shops really did modernise and homogenise that fast. Idk, I like the aesthetic. I'm glad Calvard looks the way it does, it just feels right. 2) START WITH SKY, AGREED. 3) Real time action combat is alright, but like, they could've done so much better considering they also do YS. 4) Turbo is KING. I'm not playing each Trails game for 80-100 hours. 60-80 is already too damn much and you bet your ass I'm gonna be fast forwarding boring animations I've already seen and a world map I've already explored. 5) Yeah Daybreak is great. I much preferred it to the majority of the Cold Steel saga but it doesn't top most of Sky and all of Crossbell (yet, but I still doubt it will.)
Dude, the whole point of the active battle system is to get a stun before initiating command mode. There’s basically no strategy to it, and once you get the next weapon upgrade you’ll mow through those same mobs. The damage scaling in Active mode is also really lopsided, getting hit is really painful until you surpass a level threshold, and then all attacks hit for 0 or 1. The damage you receive in Active mode is way more than in Command mode; and you’re supposed to initiate command mode during a stun to build up your Multipliers. If you do everything right, the max bonus from Active Mode is +0.7, while Command Mode is +4.9. Active Battle is only mean to be used very early in the fight, and whether you get 1 Stun or 5 Stuns before initiating command mode, the advantage will be the exact same.
Maybe if the upcoming Trails games were Switch exclusives, then those reviewers would easily rank them between an 8.5-9.5. But it really just comes down to Falcom’s budget constraints. Visually, Daybreak is a whole lot better than the upscaled PS3 graphics of Cold Steel. It’s still looking nowhere near good enough to realistically surpass a 9. The other issue is the voice acting, there’s too many instances where the NPC has a voice actor but Van does not, but for some reason Agnes and Ferri do, then Van does not, and then all remaining lines are silent. At the same time though, reviewers are actively trying to elevate new Trails entries into a more mainstream discussion, and do seem to have a floor of 8.0-which is a good thing. Trails games dropping below 8.0 could prove problematic for new players.
I gotta be honest, I fully support unions because they cultivate talent, but that’s also why Falcom’s budget is insufficient for complete voice acting. NIS America uses some really good voice actors, most of these guys are extremely experienced, but they also ain’t cheap., and union contracts prevent them from seeking out amateurs to replace union actors for dirt cheap. We also don’t know how much time NISA has between finishing the script’s localization, and the actual release date. It’s possible that those lines were acted out, but the quality turned out to be inadequate and there just wasn’t enough time to rebook the actors and redo their lines. So, it’s very possible that they just end up keeping the good and cutting the bad.
ShadowElite HD is a PC elitist, not everyone wants to sit at their desk just to play games, some people prefer to play using their 4k tvs without having to run a cable trom their pc tgeir tv. I'm annoyed every time i go back to sky and have to play on PC. I prefer to just play on my LG C2 TV without having to run cables from my pc to my TV
I have my PC hooked up to my TV. But yeah, it is low on the list of preferred platforms to play on. Also he seems to thjnk every gives a damn about 120 fps. Most people do not. I just want the game to be playable. That is it. Whether that is 30, 60 or 120.
@TheLoneGamr exactly as long as it's not Pokémon Scarlet/Violet bad in terms of frame rate I'm pretty much fine make it stable 30/60 etc I'm fine with it
@TheLoneGamr I'm not sure but it could be native to my state but they serve bigger fries might even be steak fries over the small tiny fries that McDonald's serves, I liked them so much I used to buy extra fries when getting my lunch/dinner from them

Also, the main draw is that the Xipha Orbment layout, its reminiscent of the Sky Arc, but many of the stat bonuses and shard attacks trigger when you initiate a command battle with a Stunned enemy. By chapter 4-5, you’ll be able to make Quartz layouts that have killer finishing moves, debuffs when boosted, and the option to heal HP/EP/CP by selecting the Defend command. Trust me, the Xipha’s Quartz lines are a huge upgrade from Cold Steel.

The new gameplay was needed. Was getting very boring. Now its better. Brought me back to the series. But everyone is different
Mcdonalds fries 🍟 are the best fries checkers fries are good but would pick Mcdonalds every time
Also we've entered the age of diminishing returns as far as graphics go so playing on PC is not really a necessity anymore

Q…. What are you doing my guy? You could’ve been in Cold Steel 3 by now 💀
Using a 550W machine to play games just slighty better thar a 130W console is absolutely unecological.

Never heard of Mr Pete’s.
