Best camera review channel so far! No other channel review the settings this deep! Of course we buyers want to see how far the camera can take manual settings before buying. Especially the basic settings. Good job, keep it up! Subscribed.
Awesome video!!! Thanks for making it. I bought the camera back in November 2015. This video helped me fine tune my videos. I am having problems deleting videos. I delete on the camera but they still show up when I plug into the computer. It's odd. Any tips on what I'm doing wrong?
+Marcus Guiliano thanks for your kind comments. Congrats on your purchase. Did you format your SD card on your camera before starting your shooting? It has to be formatted with the camera. Just checking.
Excellent tutorial. Very simple and refined info, yet every important detail is covered. I just bought one & can't believe this camera is still the best prosumer camcorder for the price - almost 2 years after it was released!!!
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS REVIEW! I'm getting this camera too, not sure if there's a newer model, but I have been looking at this camera for 2 months now. This review really did it for me. I'm getting it next month. Thanks so much for your review, it helped me to make a clearer decision.
I wish you were here in Pasadena, CA to teach a weekend class on using and shooting with this Handicam. I would totally pay for it but until that day I will just watch this over and over until I've memorized the tips and tricks you've shared. Thank you for this mini tutorial.
Just received my Sony AX100 4k, this was a nice tutorial. I am not a professional videographer, but I would love to take better videos for my TH-cam Channel and Personal Video Output. This gives me a good start. Now I have to try downloading the video onto my PC.
The AX100 is for serious video shooters who want a manual camera to get more control of their videos. The AX53 is a good camera for casual shooters who appreciate the automatic settings while still getting great videos
Excellent Video. Well set out and yet revealing a lot of depth. I have been using the AX100 for more than a year now and love it. It is a continual learning process. I wish I had found your tutorial a year ago as it would have made the process much faster. Thank you, and subscribed!
You are the first reviewer of this camera I have come across to explain that Manual settings means Manual. Unlike the AX33 which is Manual for one only setting. My video needs is for interviewing people in stationary positions -- outside or indoors with lighting. The AX100 has been my choice for many reasons but I could never find an answer to the Manual meaning Manual. Now I know. This camera will be perfect and I need not spend a few extra (Australian) dollars to get higher end camera. I'll get two or three of these instead. Cheers, mate.
Hi Mark thanks for your kind comments. If you’re planning a couple more AX100, might I suggest going for the upgraded AX700 which has crazy fast (and accurate) autofocus which you’ll find useful for shooting interviews. @@wolfangdigital I'd been looking at the AX700 but couldn't find any good reviews in English. I didn't have the courage to simply buy it without reviews. Your recommendation is good enough for me :-)
@@WobblyBootsDuke Hey Mark, the only reasons I don't continue the AX100 (really awesome cam... shot in the forest under hot tropical weather and not a hint of overheat) is that the AX700 came out, the autofocus is far superior, it's got 2 SD card slots amongst other things. I would suggest you go ahead with the AX100 but seeing as you're planning to invest into 2 or 3 more cams, maybe have a look at the AX700. Mind you the UI is not as friendly as AX100 as Sony decided to use the Pro series (like the NX you mentioned) UI for the AX700.
