Sure, he wasn’t reckless, he definitely made some business decisions but Deion was a complete corner. You’re not going to find him missing too many tackles

He was not a thumper, but I don’t know of many sane mature DB’s who intentionally get in front of a 225 pound running back with a full head of steam. Attacking from the flank or feigning injury are far better alternatives if a long career is something you want. LOL. I’d forgotten how good he was returning kicks and punts. He would hunt for that crease and hit it at just the right time. He probably figured how to perfect that tactic as a boy and by time he was in the NFL it was so second nature to him that he was damn near indefensible as a returner. And he is an example of the tremendous advantage you have as the fastest player on the field, a lot can be done if no one can keep up with you. Can’t coach speed.
