It doesn’t take long to figure out where Rick is actually needed when you watch this video. 22:19 right here where all of these rigs are piled up, is where he’s actually needed. Not up there where he tore up his Dodge Wrecker at. Watching that part of the video was absolutely aggravating as hell to me because of the way the camera kept jerking up and down and all around. This is definitely where he’s needed a lot more. Hopefully there is more videos that pertains to this, hellacious-pile-up. Just from all the videos, I’ve watched so far, before, And After subscribing to Ricks channel. they definitely specialize at this.
We’ve definitely got more big storms rolling through here this winter than we usually get, I would say we get winters like this every couple years. It’s northern AZ you never know

Man that cold thick mud is the worst sometimes I swear. That guy being stuck, while it is anyones fault who goes somewhere like that, you both being stuck is just purely shit conditions. If it was a little warmer that mud probably woulda cleared out your tread when spinning but it was just too damn thick being that it’s red clay and cold. Edit: made post before I watched it all. That really sucks about the transfer case. I miss my 18’ ram 5500. I hot shot with it for 3 years. Made it 455k no rebuilds, and then I was pulling a mean hill on my way to South Dakota, had it to the boards at around 40 trying to make it up, she started pinging around 85% of the way up and by the top she was yelling knock knock jokes. Costed me 13,000 to have the load delivered, and then my truck + 44 foot trailer towed all the way back to upstate New York which effectively buried me and destroyed my company because it just so happened to be 3 weeks after I spent all my life savings on my house. Keep it pushin brother. This channel is becoming one of my favorites. It’s also a very striking convenience that you named your truck after my favorite marvel movie ever. Love it!
Is this the second time you broke the transfer case chain, or is this an old video from when the transfer case went out about a month ago?? A good thing you wasn't in the offroad wrecker games, hellboy would never have held up to what those wreckers went through!
@@MrsWreckerRick sorry it was the third time the transfer case went out. I'm sure Rick will eventually get one that will hold up. Just a thought, might check with Matt's offroad recovery, he might be able to point you to someone that makes a heavy duty transfer case? He had a little trouble with his at first, but had to have custom made parts for his wrecker. Don't know that he could help, just a thought.
As you know, there’s many that want to be or say they are truck drivers. But, there’s very few (real deal)Truck Drivers, like yourself. The Mack/Volvo dealership I use to work for has over 2500 trucks in their leasing fleet. All of which have automated transmissions, bc todays truck drivers don’t know how to drive a manual transmission.
I imagine those tires usually require 80 psi. I have zero experience in snow and mud like you were in. Do you have to air down? Is that even possible those tires?
I find it humerous that a 5500 heavy duty, has such a light duty transfer case in it, a chain? ack. I know it's a dodge but Chevy put a cast iron case gear driven NP205 transfer case in damn near every truck back in the day, we just don't make crap these days.
Never could trust chain driven transfer cases, if it’s in your guys budget atlas or midnight metal works might have a bomb proof cases. So many options are available for transfer cases
Love watching your videos for no matter how it goes you seem to be having fun. The only thing that bugs me is that you beat up the those Chevy trucks about being stuck. Every one of them that you go get in Hellboy ( with the big mudders), always have basic truck tires. Lets see how well Hellboy does getting to those Chevy trucks with basic tires as well. I'm thinking somebody would be eating a lot of humble pie. But keep the great videos coming.
