I like the tip about holding up a gray card (or toned drawing paper?) to the photo to help find color. I will try this with the next one. I don’t have a printer so I have to do color comparisons against a backlight screen. That’s a challenge sometimes. But I expect any home printer would not replicate colors that well either? Apps like ChromaMagic can be helpful, yet I like the gray card idea. It’s more my interpretation than an app.
yes working from screen are challenging. I am fortunate to have a fine art printer and the colours are very good. As long as you always account for the backlit screen issues you can usually work around them 😀
