Such easy videos to watch. No agenda, just taking us out with you for a stroll and a camp. No mental health messages which so many outdoor videos pump out. Thank you
See it the same way. Nice to see a channel which is grounded and not hunting for attention. I'm quite surprised that his channel isn't bigger - seems like that most folk like the extremes 😉
@@MaliceGLA Glad to see someone shares the same opinion. I get tired of outdoor channels pushing the mental health agenda to drive views. We all know why we go out, it does us good. No need to analyse it to the 8th degree. Stripey, do what you do, we love it. Gotta say I would love to see you do a multi day hike though 😉
Spectacular drone footage! Love how you put such positive spin on even the least ideal of circumstances; such positivity is uplifting. The shape of the lake looked like a fox face to me; ears and all. I think you should market that body nourishing pasta bolognese😂; it looks delicious! Thanks for another awesome video.
Hahaha thanks! The Heart Loch looks to me neither really like a heart - and now you mentioned the fox and I can't stop seeing it 😂. Thanks a lot for watching.
Thank you very much Gordon, was really lucky that I had a window in the morning which allowed my flying - helped quite a bit to show the Heart Loch a bit better 👍
Thank you Stripey for yet another beautiful Video! I have to admit I really enjoy those landscape shots and views but what makes me watch your videos every week is your "Camplife". Sitting at home and watching you setting up the tent, cooking, making a cup of coffee, sitting in the tent at sunset and sunrise, hearing the sound of the wind and rain, being snuggled in the quilt and so on is what really makes it so Wonderfull. Adding the fact that your content is so grounded and authentic makes it the perfect little break from my day to day life and lets me daydream a bit about my next outdoor adventures. Wish you all the best!
Scotlands is such a beautiful place, looks very windy! thanks for sharing we have liked and subscribed to show our support, have a great day, Chelsea and Mike 🙂
There are a few certainties in life , like earth is round , Trump is crazy and Stripey's gonna have pasta bolognese for supper 😅 . Your camera shots where incredible, you must have walk twice the distance you where suppose to do initially to make those . Looking forward to see you in the next one , I'm honest , bye bye 👋
Thanks a lot Bon. Wasn't to bad and if I am one hour earlier at the camp spot or later doesn't really matter to me. Actually it is surprising how much more you see of the tour with walking up and down ☺️
Thank you. Yeah a pasta bolognaise goes always well down and it is super quick to make - no need for a change 😎. The tent which I am using is a MLD Duomid.
Another great video, thanks. That loch looks more like a tooth to me. I wonder if it was called Hart Loch and the "e" was added later? A "Hart" being "an old-school term for a mature red deer stag, traditionally one more than five years old."
Thank you very much Steve! Absolutely, when I showed the picture of the Heart Loch to a friend in Germany his first reaction was as well that it looks like a tooth 😂. I mean with goodwill I can see a heart in it but your idea with the 'e' added later makes also sense - I can see a deer as much as a heart in the Loch 😂👍 Thank you Stripey
You are welcome mate! Not sure about the wee beasties, would really need to be later in summer I guess. At the moment I think it is a good option to explore some grassy/wet places as ticks and midges are under control 😂
That single skin tent of yours. I bought something similar which is on its way. How does it cope with condensation please? I'm taking a bit of a risk but you appear to manage very well. Thank you Mr. Hat Guy.
Hi Stripey. Such a peaceful place, lovely. And the drone footage was super. cCn I ask your pack weight, without camera gear? You always look so light. ATB Serk
Thank you very much Serk! I actually don't know the pack weight 😅. Wanted to do a video about it for quite some time, guess now I have a good reason 👍 Just had a rough estimate and I think it was like 5-6kg (incl. food) without water or worn cloth/trekking poles on this one but I might have forgotten something or guessed it wrong. You can basically see everything I brought on this tour, apart of: ibuprofen, paracetamol, plasters, DCF repair and x-lite repair set, changing shirt, sleeping socks and underwear. Edit: A snow tent peg (for digging a hole...much better imho than any alternatives)+ toilet paper, travel toothbrush and 2 tooth past tablets 😉
@@StripeyHatGuy Wow Stripey! If your estimate is close that’s super light! I also wouldn’t count what I wear on my person and poles. Thats amazing, it would be so interesting to see you do a video on it. I think the dehydrated pasta bolognaise helps too 😂
Sounds really light when I think about it...I will have a weight tomorrow of my packed backpack and will let you know. Edit: It definitely must be the pasta - said this my big items (rucksack, sleeping pad, foam pad, tent, ground floor, pegs, quilt are only 2.7kg)
Sorry for coming back so late...stupid work! I just weight my backpack for tomorrow and it weights all in (including 500ml water, food, tripod, drone, batteries,...just everything I take) = 10.8kg I know not what you kindly asked my for but I am already off again...
Thank you very much Mat! Ben Macdui isn't one of my favourite camps spots when I think of the Cairngorms. I will definitely do more tours this year in the Cairngorms - not sure if Ben Macdui will be included 😏
I know, still not sure which set-up I want to use. Duomid with head net like last year or should I bother and proper fit the Lanshan into the duomid....well time will tell.
Thanks Robin! Yeah well out of focus of anything - no Munro or Corbett as a direct neighbour which is basically a guarantee for being alone 👍 Quite surprised that there wasn't a well trotted path 😂

Enjoyed the video Stripey 😍..Great wee spot you got there..Looked a nice wee Lochan..Lovely shots as well .

Great wee video Stripey!! Lovely long cinematic shots!! Enjoyed that! Paul
Thanks Paul, glad you liked it 👍
The scenery in your videos is beautiful, I'm just catching up on your older vids, all good 👍 😊
Thanks a lot! Have seen already some nice places here…said this I like just everything 😂
Cracking location Stripey, lovely drone shots 🏔️ very chilled 👌 atb Brian 👍
Thanks Brian 👍
The wind noise during the elevated shots makes it sound bloody cold. Still another cracking wee saunter oot.
Yeah was pretty fresh in the wind, nothing where you want to hang around for too long 😉.
Thanks Alistair.
Nope nope, must resist watching this tonight..... I'm saving this one until after work tomorrow with a cup of tea and biscuit. No kids, no wife .....
Great video mate. 👍
Thank you Steve 👍
Thanks a lot for your videos Stripey! Really enjoyed this one 👍

I was in Glen Orchy at the falls late on Sunday. Great vid again. Superb location
Thanks a lot Tom! Really like the area in general, haven't been there before but I will for sure go back at some point!
Always such a chill time watching your movies!! Inspiring stuff love your lightweight kit

thank you very much for watching.

Cracker Stripey. ❤️ Glen Orchy is beautiful eh. I'll need to return and camp someday. You'll need to return to bag that Graham peak. 😉
Hi Kev! Yeah definitely, there is also a wee lochan on top of the Graham which I fancy 😃

Nice video, SHG👍! Not sure, but think you captured a little swimmer in your upturned water bag at breakfast coffee time 🙂! Maybe just pond debris?
Thanks! It was some pond debris which nicely blocked my water filter 😏

Great spot and a magical quiet camp

Can I ask the make of tent

Evening Stripey, what a stunning location for a camp, looked beautiful. Thanks for sharing your trip with us as always. 😀🥾⛰🏴🏕️
Hi Dave 👋
Thank you very much, thanks a lot for watching 😊
Well thank you for sharing that. I've had that lochan on my radar for some time... Looks like a pleasant spot for a late summer camp.. 😎

@@StripeyHatGuy and slugs.. 🤮
Yeah definitely, got already a couple on this one and at the last one I had like 8 or 9 worms in/on the tent/quilt 🤨

Stripey, check out Lough Ouler in Ireland. It's a proper heart-shaped lake! ❤️
Looks like that Lough Ouler should have Heart Loch as a name 😃👍

Very nice, less trodden, path Stripey.
Thanks a lot dougieranger.
Great vid mate amazing views great pitch

That was definitely a remote 1 hopefully the ground will start to dry up soon
Yeah kind of away from anything. Dry ground would be nice, unfortunately soon the midge season starts and that's it with camps like that 😒

Hahaha I let get this one through Hendrik if you say Scots, as for us Germans it looks rather like an upside down tooth or a ghost I assume 😂👍
