    Great Video. Dealer wants $4,000 to replace “leaking” compressor/valve body on my 2014 Overland. Stuck on off road 2. 😂. Purchased new rebuilt assembly off Ebay (one year warranty) for $225. Will attempt the replace with nitrogen. Worse case go manual shocks you instruct👍. Will update after the results. You rock👍

      How can I remove the air suspension compressor and put in a new one and not lose the nitrogen when I disconnect the hoses? Second, is the same proces to Jeep Grand cherokee sumit 2014 ?

    Not sure why but we have a 2011 Grand Cherokee Summit with Air Suspension and never had an issue. We use it daily and lower it to Park height on every time we exit. Rig is 12 years old and still perfect. Hopefully most owners have the same luck as us. Currently we are on a 3300 mile vacation with the Jeep. We love the adjustable suspension.

      Depending on your model, you should be able to put it into “jack mode” which sends all the air back to the tank.

      If you live or drive in cold areas, you might want to purge out the air and refill it with nitrogen. Atospheric air has moisture in it that will eventually cause the compressor to freeze up in cold weather. With nitrogen in the sytem, there's no moisture to freeze, so it will work fine even in below zero temperatures.

    I don't get it. It seems to me you've repaired the defective compressor with a used one. But instead of going to Jeep to have the system pumped up with pure nitrogen again you just use air (they use nitrogen to have no water out of the air in the system in case it gets very cold and lines could freeze). But why? I refilling nitrogen at the dealer so expensive?

      @@richierock1300 There's moisture in all air. If this moisture freezes in the winter, the air suspension will become better noperable at least until the temperature allows everything to thaw out. So if you don't live or drive in a cold climate, filling the system with air is fine. But otherwise, use nitrogen to prevent freezing in the winter months.

    • @richierock1300
      @richierock1300  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes there’s moisture in the air use a separator on your compressor line your only filling one time and how much is it really going take in a tablespoon if your lucky

    • @Japplesnap
      @Japplesnap 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@richierock1300 Trust me, it takes just a small amount of moisture in the air suspension system to cause freeze issues. That's exactly why Jeep specifies high purity nitrogen. Even normal nitrogen contains too much moisture, so they tell you to fill with nothing but high purity nitrogen.

    Hey guys I know this is frustrating and hopefully I am not too late for some of you. It took me some atime but I think I got this. Follow this video but when you get into the WRITE THE SUSPENSION HEIGHT VALUES let the app read your truck sensors, then let your truck adjust its height and then STEP OUT FROM THE TRUCK AND MESAURE THE DISTANCE FROM THE MIDDLE OF THE WHEEL TO THE EDGE OF THE FENDER AND WRITE THIS VALUE FOR EACH SUSPENSION. After this your truck will adjust to its original height values, meaning this will adjust the normal, exit, off road 1 and off road 2 standard heights of your ECU System. Hope this works for you.
