Hi Hiro! I believe this incident is a sign that you need to find a proper house that is build on solid ground (land). You are a family man now and you need to keep your family safe. It is not safe to live near the sea, as you have now experienced. I hope you'll get everything in proper order soon. Keep safe.
Use Many and bigger sized posts for stronger and sturdy structure and if possible longer nails to puncture with shorter gaps in connecting walls or plyboards. You also attach braces on every angle of the framing of your house because this will ensure strength and your house cannot be shaken by strong storm. Your roofing, even if you use wooden framing , make sure the squaring is smaller, which means more puncturing for the roofing (corrugated). More nails means stronger your roof becomes. Apply braces also on all angles of the under structure (foot) because the sturdiness of your depends on how you apply protective measures. I hope you take this advice.
I've seen many sturdy-looking houses getting destroyed by typhoon, the only option he has is have another house (apart from the badjao house), far from the sea and maybe made of concrete just for emergency situation.

I just saw this vid and yes a lot are on the same boat as Hiro-san. Im also from Cebu, central part of the land beside the city, and all I can say is that the typhoon also took our roof causing our house to flood sum of rainwater, and our equipment and appliances to get damage. It's just fortunate that we survived from the typhoon and the government took action immediately. This incident took many lives as well... some of them died from the falling crane, sacrifice, helping, and etc. Right now, some parts of the affected areas still have no electricity and water... and yeah it's hard to find those necessities. Im glad Hiro-san, you're still healthy and well, as well as your friends. This means life must go on and eventually, you will stand out soon. Keep safe, Kuya.
Philippines will always have typhoons. It affects most especially those living near the coastal area and near to pacific sea. Hope you can built a house that will make you all safe. Better yet suggest some ways how to built a better and safe house just like in Japan where typhoons and earthquake is very common just an opinion✌️. Be happy and safe 😊

It hit our island too in Gilutongan, the typhoon destroyed everything. I also uploaded a video yesterday you guys can check it too. Its just sad but Filipinos are strong and determined we can do it.
