    Nothing better than the Firehouse. It’s like a breath of fresh air when you walk in the door for a tour. I miss it.

      Firefighters are not Three-Dimensional Thinkers. They are Two Dimensional Reactors. Like most humans. A firefighter wanted to get the air conditioner out of the window, so he just threw it down. A Thinker would have looked first.

    The vast majority of firefighter injuries and deaths are caused by irresponsibility and bad tactics, not accidents or through heroism. Where do you think that air conditioner came from? What were they accomplishing on that roof? Why were they inside a burning building without first extinguishing all Visible Burning Material and having a charged line when they went in to protect themselves? Evaluate their performance before you worship them.

    • @usernameredacted439
      @usernameredacted439 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Firefighters are heroic not because they are perfect, but because they answer the call. Very rarely in any situation does someone die when everything was done right. A mistake that leads to a death doesn't mean you're not a hero, because it takes a hero to face a situation in which one mistake may cost you your life. It's obvious from your comment that you don't have the firefighting knowledge to judge anyones performance. why were they inside a burning building without a hose? primary search? victim rescue? a lot of potential reasons. And now I'd like to ask, genuinely asking, why you're so critical and angry towards firefighters?

    • @JB91710

      @@usernameredacted439
      "but because they answer the call." You mean they get up in the morning and go to the work they chose? That makes everyone a hero then.
      "It takes a hero to face a situation in which one mistake may cost you your life." Do you mean like driving to work or crossing the street or stepping into the bathtub or...............?
      So being a Third Generation REAL Firefighter from an extended family of firefighters, doesn't count? How about being a Three Dimensional Outside The Box Thinker? If it's so obvious that I can't judge their performance, why didn't you point out specifically, anything I ever said that is wrong?
      "Why were they inside a burning building without a hose?" How are they going to protect themselves and the victims from the fire they allowed to burn? They surely didn't bring fire blankets inside to cover the victims. They surely didn't bring them an air supply like they had. What happens if they find someone and can't get them out because the fire is now blocking their exit?
      "why you're so critical and angry towards firefighters?" I'm angry towards anyone who swears to do a job and then doesn't and then ignorant civilians worship them and call them heroes Just because they showed up. Do you bother to evaluate their performance when you watch these videos? 95% of USA firefighters and departments have no clue what their JOB is let alone how to perform it. Search and Rescue is NOT Job 1 because PROTECTION by eliminating all visible threats, can be done faster and safer from the exterior through horizontal ventilation and suppression through the windows, long before and entry team can be assembled, get fully dressed at get the front door open. Forget about the TIME it takes to find the person and then remove them.
      Civilians and most firefighters have a lot to learn about the Reality of what firefighting is and how to do it. Problem is, they really don't give a damn and these videos prove it. mediocrity Rules. Ignorance is Bliss. Sure hope they have lots of insurance.

      @@JB91710 how about volunteers? They just wake up at 1:00 in the morning? How about the 2:00 in the morning for a fully engulfed house, 10 minutes outta town. Then being hated on when you only “save the basement”. And waking up the next morning to go help someone’s kid that just hit and killed an innocent guy at 2:00 in the morning. Yeah. You’re right, that isn’t being a “real” firefighter right? Wake up and have respect bud. We’re all doing the same thing.

      @@jordan1717 Been there, done that! It's all in How you do it. Just showing up doesn't count for much. But it is all that hero worshippers need!
